I think you should make the fuel cap itself black not the badge so it blends in and it would look more stealth. Also the calipers should be blue to pop and easily blend with the car

Nice tasteful changes, looks great. I'd go with the same red that is on the car's badges for the brake calipers. Along with the brake lights, the color is already on the car.

Liking the progress tbf! Personally would do the calipers black but simply because I like stealthy brake set ups and detest shouty ones haha. What about a shorter front plate? Your plate is obviously quite a short one (only four digits) so maybe just cut it down or have it the same (legal) size, font etc. but less white showing on the plate? Would imagine that's legal but would make the front end look more aggressive :)

Evening Archie. Just a thought. As you have a small amount of red accents on the car as in the badges. Why not do the callipers red to match and then the lettering on the Calipers Black to mach the badging?????

Literally the colour and spec I would go for👌 you could always wrap you plates in a slight tint, as this will give you a bit more of a stealthy type of look in the front and as well for the rear! Thumbs up if you agree and do he can see it!

The chrome grill looked more stylish but the black suits the other black exterior parts really well. Also those badges in black should be a factory option haha Funny to see that you another R8 to compare it with in the same spec you had before these options! haha

what about the smaller type front plate. It keeps your car legal while being less imposing on the grill?

i really like the black grill. check out the audi sport performance parts for the r8. the diffusor and wing are mega cool.

Classy mods 👍 should have got a replacement black plastic grill though. Won't take long for that black paint to start getting chips and will see white plastic through or chrome if they haven't sanded it all off. Leave the Callipers black. Coloured brakes callipers just look grubby to quickly.

I'd say match the exterior colour on the calipers, it will help to break all the black up. I'm glad you went with the black grill it looks 100% better, there is a reason why Audi themselves can spec it with a black grill 😊 Ive seen on other R8's that you can buy wing extenders, which make the wing sit higher, might want to check that out, only other thing I can think of is maybe some sort of splitter for the front 👍🏼

Massive difference indeed! Absolutely love it! And to be honest, I do prefer alcantara steering wheels too.. I mean Audi does it on a RS3, why wouldn't they do it on their best model haha.. hope you'll manage that out for your R8. Final thing, I do think yellow calipers on a blue car would stand out a lot! I dunno, it's just a color that goes so well in contrast with blue. Peace out man

I had a Toyota Aygo courtesy car when my 1.9 Astra was being repaired & I thought that was a big difference but going from a R8 to a Skoda Citigo must've been horrible. I remember the lack of power compared to my diesel but that's nothing compared to the power difference between an R8 & a Citigo

I have a short personalised plate and I just cut it down as small as it would go and mounted it at the bottom of my 2008 r8 front grill. You don't have to remove it just make it a small as possible and mount it as low as possible. This way you see pretty much all of the grill

Archie, you could plastidip the grill and badges achieve the same effect and if you want to revert to original, it can be removed easily.

Looks good! Leave the calipers, get a smaller gel printed plate that only shows the AH 66 rather than a huge gap round it
