Hirsi were making this alarm a few years back. The difference with the Hirsi ones are you get 4 Alarms a receiver a case and the receiver works 2 way you can set the alarms from the receiver all settings. The alarms are 100% identical

Is there not a 'mute' single-press button for while I set up my lines? Don't wanna be *that* angler on a lake with a disco going while they attach their bobbins and get the line tension just right...

Great video not really much to say about alarms but they look a great deal for the money 👌🏻

Well I've got the sonik varder 12ft 3.5 tc rods and they are very nice but these alarms I wasn't sure about but as this doesn't show them being tested properly I think I'll find some others

I've brought a set there great budget alarms excellent value for money

Does not really help someone who may want a set. You can take any alarm on the market and do what you just have. The minimum we expect from an alarm is that it beeps and the functions these have are nothing new or ground breaking. What about reviewing them in real angling situations to show the potential buyer the performance expectations ? I would like to see them functioning in bad weather, through foliage, delay in receiver picking up alarms on a real bite, the feel of them, how well made they are, some technical specs and much more. Great that you review products but maybe add some more meat on the bones for it to be actually useful. Thanks

Being honest they are just cheap crap alarms mate. They don’t really need testing the type of people that would buy them would buy them just because they are cheap.

These guys don't do reviews, they said this themselves in one of their Xmas Q&As, they basically just advertise any product they are paid to do

They are great been using them a year now.

Hirsi 4 alarms with receiver 87 quid Amazon exactly the same alarms.

Just picked a 3+1 for £70 from angling direct

I'm never buying a Sonik product again. Just recently bought the Sonik Axs bivvy and overwrap. Used it 3 times and the overwrap tore like a wet paper bag, whilst I was pegging it down. Never in my 20 years of fishing have I had a bivvy do that!

On my reciever is a white flickering light without my doing anything. Does anyone have a fix?

Change the battery of the reciever. I had the same issue. The thing actually keeps working for a pretty long time even with the light blinking.

I bought these and replaced them instantly the receiver doesnt go 2metres away from alarms, but there great for day session fishers, overnighters dont bother bcoz you be waking up to no rods

Love sonik but bite alarms New Direction tackle looks way better.

Yeah ive got the new direction n1 bite alarms and love how they look! Did have an issue with one of the heads not holding charge all day and missed the amazon return bug within 3 days of directly emailing new direction I had a replacement in my grubby lil hands and haven't had an issue since! Fantastic customer service!!!!

@@Jessebella1 yeah I'd def recommend the new direction bite alarms and you can't go wrong with any of the different models! The best are the k9s and have loads of features the coolest looking are the n1 but compact and have to have the receiver as no speakers on alarms but that's how they are able to be small and really good for 90 quid with 2 alarms and receiver really good value

​@@Mnunch Thanks, odd I've never heard of them but then I'm old skool and have had my rare one-off edition fox alarm set and most of my other gear for more years than I care to remember, most new things I buy or look for are just end rig tackle wise really lol Anyway thanks again, now im looking for my son im realising how many new (to me at least) brands are out there and the choices there are, ill be sure to check them out, maybe they are just what he needs. Thing is mate what’s the difference between any alarms mate . I’ve got delkims and microns and I’ve been using some cheap ones I bought my lad I think they are diem about £5 a piece 🤣 I catch all the same ! If anything the more expensive ones look more delicate

all my fishing gear is sonik, i think the majority of the range is great, but when it comes to alarms it has to be delkim , these look cheap and tacky, probly good if your on budget or just starting out , the price tells you what you need to know here, any set of 3 x alarms with receiver that comes in cheaper than a delkim receiver, says NO to me.

So yet another set of Sonik alarms this time rebranding a cheap set of Chinese Hirisi alarms available for half the price via a certain Chinese on line marketplace, If you can't design your own product don't try to fix what's not broken.
