I could never find the hedge clippers upgrade in Gwimbly 2. Apparently the cutscene where he snips his prolapse off is pretty rare.

I can see why people recognize the Daniel Larson influence, but also the charging of 5 dollars for a picture or a pose is something the wackerpacker Beetlejuice has been doing for the last few years and he kinda resembles Gwimbly

The hyper realistic background when Grimbly is doing his cameo feels like a hyperrealistic Spongebob cutaway and I love it

I can definetely tell that Gwimbly was animated by Hoolopee. I've never seen old game character with realistic movements from anyone but him. That's super cool

I like to think "buzz off why dontcha?!" is qwimbly's iconic catchphrase since pim immediately recognizes him as qwimbly

The facial expressions, the vocal cadence, the way he holds holds the camera, how he briefly breaks character to genuinely react to people’s strange requests and inside jokes, for a 90’s graphic quality VG character, this felt disturbingly real.

For anyone wondering why the mixed media works so well here. If you have 3d animation experience you can tell this was animated in 3d software using the 2d characters on layers above or below Gwimblis. It's impresive af how they got his shadow to render so properly on backrground layers. It looks trippy once you start looking at how well planned the layers were for a 3d model to interact with a 2d space.

He doesn't seem ready to be a fully qualified Smiling Friend just yet. At least thats my working theory. Pim is overqualified, Charlie may be lazy but he has a heart of gold, Glep has that bad boy edge, and Alan misses social cues or just gets aggressive over the small stuff.

The Cameo bit killed me bro. WAY too real

I do say Mr. Gwimbley flamboyantly showcased his iconic and exotic victory dance, captivating all who beheld his triumphant display.

The cameo shot was amazing, absolutely love seeing different forms of animation in one media

I love the voices they chose for all these new characters

The 3D render within Gwimbley's Cameo basically tells us that they do live in real life, but some people are more low-res than others?

the way his mic overloads with his screaming is the best part of the episode

ALAN'S EYELID MOVEMENTS AND WEIRD VOCAL INFLECTIONS ARE BACK!!!! That was my biggest gripe with Season 1 - Alan didn't have the same quirks that made him likeable in "Desmond's Big Day Out", leaving him as a monotone side character. Based on this clip, I think things are looking up for him!

Anyone else catch that emphasized "guh" sound at the end of Alan's sentence at 1:43 ? I could be seeing phantoms but it immediately reminded me of one of the oneyplays episodes where Zach said somthing like "givinguh.." I think the context was either Tomar or chris asked Zach what Christmas was all about and thats how he responded lol.
