As someone new to orchestra libraries, I'm more glad every time I open Nucleus (my first full orchestra library) that I pre-ordered at $350. It's definitely competitive above that price, as well, from what I've listened to.

DJ: one point you are doing imho wrong.. you play multiple notes on a patch that already consists of multple instruments. E.g. 2 flutes or 2 oboes patches, when you are pressen two keys, you in essence are hearing not 2 flutes but 4. There is no auto divisi in this library, so it only adds up the amount of audible players. Doing 3 notes will in reality be 6 flutes! not 2. So please, for realism sakes, use the patches as should, only triggering one note, not multiples at the same time. (unless you want multitudes of instruments as given in my examples)

  • @DJLA

Rogier van Gemert I actually mention this in the video, I say it’s one of the perks. Because even with 12 player playing 3 notes it still sounds great. You probably couldn’t afford that many players in real life but you CAN with samples, meaning you can create sounds you might be financially restricted from trying in the real world. So I don’t think I am doing anything wrong, I am however doing things that might be expensive to translate to real world. My approach is: if it sounds good, it’s good. Don’t needlessly restrict yourself when you have the ability to experiment!!

@@DJLA Thanks for the reply. I thought you where talking about going beyond the range of an instrument, and not that it adds up the amount of players in a real played scenario. But now i see i missunderstood what you said in the video. :-)

Josedav Sorry mate that’s just the way I speak. I don’t see it changing anytime soon.

Please to us all a favor (yourself as well) by respecting other people's right to express themselves however they want.

@@jetlag1488 I would just put a notice that the video contains swear words and then people can use headphones in case children are present. I agree with peoples right to express themselves. its just that I didn't know it contains swear words and I have young grandchildren so a warning would have been nice. I love the video and Daniel never fails to impress.
