First look at the Tiger Moth in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Ойындар
A quick first look at the really quite wonderful Tiger Moth in Microsoft Flight Simulator - available today from JustFlight. It's perhaps the most accurately modelled aircraft of this era and type now available in the simulator, and is a joy to fly. What's more, it has options to simulate the engine and it's operation accurately - with spark plug fouling, oil use, pressure, temperature, and so on.

Beautiful model of this iconic aircraft. Well done Ant and well done on this review flight of the Tiger Moth. Great to see it in an Australian livery.

Your comment has reminded me that I need to go fly it again!
The S.E.5a, as I'm sure you're aware, was a WW1 fighter ... way, waaaay before the Tiger Moth; of which served as the primary RAF single-engined trainer during the war, eventually being replaced by the Chipmunk.
My father did his RAF ab initio pilot training in 1951 on Tiger Moths; they weren't just used between the wars.

Bet he enjoyed that one, how great
What a wonderful review video... thank you!! You've got me hooked for two reasons: 1. My late Dad learnt to fly in a Tiger Moth and 2: I would just love to fly one. I'm off to the store right now!! 🙂

Looks great Jon ! To me, my favourite aircraft is always the latest I’ve bought :)

Same here!
I bought it yesterday, and love it - another triumph for Anthony Lynch. I notice you moved to the right to look down the side of the nose , presumably using the keyboard cursor keys - I've found that, by default, the hat button on my X-52 will cycle views down the left side of the nose, then down on to the P8 Compass, then down the right side of the nose. Talking of the P8, I hate those bloody things, but that's what the Tiger Moth ( and other British aircraft of that era ) came with. Thank goodness for the little Garmin unit and its heading indicator. Glad you've reviewed this masterpiece. By the way, you mention that SE5A became a trainer after the Tiger Moth - the SE5A was a First World War single-seat fighter. The Tiger Moth continued in the primary trainer role throughout WW2, along with such aircraft as the Miles M.2 and Magister.

Yep - I use the keyboard to move around inside the cockpit. I have the hat switch configured for aileron and elevator trim - always have done - makes it easy to trim planes without really thinking about it.

@@jonbeckett Yes, I do trim with the second hat switch too - very intuitive.

I have been waiting for a gyspsy moth in MSFS and I think I just found it. Thanks!

Well... I think Just Flight are a store front for independent developers - but yes - they put out good quality aircraft.
Love this airplane also, just add a fan infront of you blowing air in your face, feels like you are actually flying it! lol
Wonderful, thank you! Which airfield is this?
You do have a ROC & ROD indication, there's a variometer to the left of the turn & slip. That's a nice aeroplane!!

It does look like a variometer, but I'm pretty sure it's not. I believe it's just an attitude indicator - indicating degrees of nose up or nose down only.
Agree. Excellent aircraft for MSFS.

You convinced me I Caved and picked it up. I was thinking another bi plane . This one is very well done though. Great pickup for the hanger.

Left rudder! It rotates counter clockwise!
Awesome thanks for video and flight, any other good planes you suggest for msfs??

If you think that altimeter is basic you should turn all the instruments back to the original ones :) I bought this yesterday and it was love at first flight. Give hard mode engine starting a go, it's very satisfying :) Don't forget you have an inclinometer, it's not a VSI but it's still useful.

I loved flying this plane. I've had two flights. however I'm having a problem with the GPS ghosting and shaking madly even when I turn it off and dock it. I have the latest driver for my GE force 3080 graphics card. It was only released yesterday. Do you have any ideas what the problem could be? By the way, I like your videos, they have been a great help to me.
