I'm with you on the cold weather. Sucks. Thats why this product would be cool for us in the winter. I'm with you. Change the tip so we can put pressure washer tips on it. Now think about this.....you can fill bucket with distilled water. No spots. You can use it to wash engines. You can use it to rinse door jams. And mostly, you can use it to wash and rinse motorcycles. Pressure is perfect so you don't ruin the water seals on motorcycles. Don't need to drag everything out for a small job like a motorcycle. This is your top product review so far. Looking into this one. Great Great video Brian.

Hello, a year later, from another senior woman looking at this for things like outdoor furniture and rinsing pollen and bird poop off my car (which inevitably comes after a carwash) and for the grout in my shower.
I have found so many uses for this. First off, Winter rinseless washing, washing off the daily bird poop, rinsing off the daily pollen in the Spring, rinsing dog's paws and sandy beach feet and as a camping shower. Rinsing garden shoes and hiking boots. Rinsing muddy camping equipment. The list goes on and on. For me, if it spares 3 or 4 car washes by spot cleaning, it pays for itself. And in the Winter, I end up going to the car wash every day if there is ice melt on the road.

I agree. There are just so many times you want to do something where a hose doesn't feel like enough (or you don't have one nearby), but dragging out your gas or electric power washer seems like overkill/ a huge hassle. Dog poop on your shoes, dirty rain water covering your patio furniture or patio bricks, spraying down your mountain bike (at the trailhead even!), getting some random muck off your car, etc. This is ideal for those situations.
Looks like a good little unit. Definitely would be an easy and quick setup to clean something off in a pinch.

I've been on the fence about this. For the negative reviews, you have to know what to expect. It's 600 psi, which is useful for very, very light work and it's convenient. It doesn't even compare with the normal electric or gas pressure washer. It's just a nice convenient tool for light work. I still don't know if I want to invest though. Thanks for the demo.

It's only really good for small jobs, you need 3-4 battery's and extra chargers. I bought manly for cleaning engine bays which is great. The battery dies around 15-17 gallons on highest setting. You can buy a 4 gallon weed killer reservoir tank and just use for water and carry on you back with a short hose. This would help some.

@@leojohnwayne1422 I believe it did have the quick connect to change to different tips. I ended up getting a more powerful pressure washer and never purchased a battery one.
Agreed make all connectors standard including wand to base M22*15 or 14 and 1/4" quick connect for tips. Especially the garden hose quick connector, I'm not going to switch my existing Quick connector out every time I use the proprietary RYOBI QC as that defeats the purpose in the first place. I haven't bought it yet for those very same reasons. Although the low GPM may make it less useful with standard pressure washer tips such as a 3.0 or less with a 4.0. That may be the reason for the proprietary connectors...

Perhaps this Ryobi works better than the Dewalt I tried. I am looking for is a way to throw some distilled water on my car as a final rinse in my quest to avoid water spots. I ordered the Dewalt DCPW550B recently and returned it. The Dewalt's pressure (550 PSI) was about the same as I could get out of a garden hose with a spray head. I expected that, but the deal killer was a lack of consistent spray. It was as if the hose was periodically coming out of the bucket, but it wasn't. Compared to the Ryobi, the Dewalt had a longer wand and did utilize standard tips.

@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Have you found any use difference with using the HP batteries vs the regular ones? I saw this comes with standard non HP batteries but is an HP product? i don't have any HP batteries and don't really wanna buy any yet.
Basic physics…….Water flowing through a restricted oriface = pressure. So each pressure washer usually has tips sized according to the flow rate of the pump. I would guess that providing a brass quick connect fitting on the end of the wand would lead to Ryobi receiving a lot of performance complaints and probably product returns. Eg; people were using tips off a 3000psi unit which has a larger oriface size because the pump flow is a lot higher which I believe would lead to a low output pressure and higher water consumption on the Ryobi unit.
@NathanBrantley
7 ай бұрын
I understand this comment, but I don't think it's that. The company is part of a larger company that is publicly traded, so selling proprietary nozzles makes more money. Secondly, all the tips I've bought seem rated for the pressure, meaning they won't fail at 3400PSI, not that it's allowing a certain flow amount through.
Is it still working? Lots of bad reviews about the internals rusting and locking up.
