I also noticed in the trailer that she is wearing the carriage dress when she is dancing with Lord Debling and he says "You look particularly beautiful tonight, Miss Featherington." That makes me think even more that something happened between them that made her cry, like a proposal that she was unsure of, and then when she runs out, Colin chases after her. That's sort of my theory.

4:20 I think it is going to be her asking him to kiss her because she has never been kissed and wants to experience it, kind of part of the "dating lessons"... but in her mind the other reason she asks him to kiss her is because she needs to experience what kissing Colin is like ONE time before she goes and gives him up completely (but she doesn't communicate that part to him). Look how gentle he is with his hand on her face. And that's why he is "stalking towards her" like that with determination, he is approaching her to do what she asked him to, and she is waiting for him to do it with her emotion written all over her face (meanwhile she doesn't realize Colin has been catching feelings too, which is evident in his expressions).

There is speculation that the moonlight scene when Colin is touching Penelope's face is a dream sequence because in the trailer we see Colin waking up suddenly in shock. Therefore, possibly, unexpectedly dreaming of kissing Penelope. As mentioned the scene is in episode 2, and speculate that Colin is not ready to admit or in denial still to having any romantic feelings for Penelope. It would have a comedic aspect in the episode to see cool Colin be thrown off his game, out of sorts and awkward for once, just as Penelope has been many times, and now it is Colin's turn. We will have to wait and see. Take care.

Hi. I've been watching your Bridgerton videos like a crazy person (which I kinda am.... lol)... (AND P.S. WHEN ARE YOU POSTING A NEW ONE?!) And I've recently re-read the book Romancing Mr Bridgerton (more times than I care to admit.....)... I have a theory (might be totally off!!)... I don't think that sneaky scene of the lifting of the dress is the carriage scene. The dress and shoes appear way way too fancy and attention calling for someone who was doing something in secret (dropping off her column at the church). I think that sneaky scene might be from when, afterwards when they're already engaged, they have a make-out sesh in the Bridgerton's informal drawing room, when they're left alone there. Like I said, I might be totally off.... I just have that feeling, don't know why. Anyone else thinks that? Or just me being paranoid and having re-read the book way too many times? lol

I think they the carriage scene won't go too far and in fact, I think Colin is going to ask for a kiss to prove she doesn't feel for him since she is rejecting him and it will steam up to that point. I'm calling it ya'll. Pen will stop it, and lie like her life depended on it and tells him something stupid like, "that meants nothing to me" and Colin will get off that carriage and watch it leave as we all die waiting for Part 2. Netflix is so cruel for splitting it into two parts. 😭 Part 1 was Pirate Coling. In Part 2 we will be getting Detective Colin trying to figure out Mystery Pen. hahha

Can someone please explain the carriage scene to me 😭 because I thought in the books they just do some making out, some touching, and a little bit of undressing (he slides her dress down and removes his shirt or something)….right? Didn’t it say that he wanted to do it in a bed for their first time when they were left alone on the couch in the drawing room. I thought they didn’t actually do the deed until the scene where he mentions the mirror - in his bed, after they were already engaged? So why is everyone freaking out about the carriage scene? I’ve seen so many things on Instagram acting like we’re going to see them full on go at it in the carriage. I get that it’s the first time they get a little intimate, but damn… there’s more hype about this carriage scene (and has been for months) than their actual first time: the mirror/bed scene. I’m just genuinely confused and want know if I missed something.

@@SammyBates yes, I had a very similar first love so that’s the first thing I thought about. Maybe he finds out about her feelings beforehand and comes to her and she’s like “you’re only doing this because you feel sorry” or something of that nature.

I like Bridgerton because I see all these incredibly beautiful people being in love and so horny for each other dressing those beautiful clothes, eating these foods that look delicious and I catch myself thinking "Hm...having a partner could be fun" AND THEN I have terrible Vietnan flashbacks of my own terrible experiences with men and all the red pill bros talking about how to gaslight women into their disgusting beds, and I remember how it is the dating scene in real life and I'm like..."Never mind, I'm good." And then I read The Francesca and Michael Sterling smut scenes (or an episode from the series) into sleep and wake up renovated and IN PEACE. It is awesome. Thank you Bridgerton for your service.

Nah come on, its not as bad as some make it out to be all over. We simply live in times were elegance and conservative values are mocked, especially by woketards and feminists in the US. I am european and its not as bad here yet. They and the ultra red pills are creating the toxic dating scene, cause both men and women belittle and villainize each other now...they created 2 extremes, but thats not most people. Men have terribile experiences with women too and women rarely take accountability. There is a perveted agenda to divide us anyway imo. Men and women are meant to be the sacred union that creates and raises new life. Lets be real, some women seem simply incapable of attracting good men or they have poor taste and are very naive. Having old school dignity and morals wont let anyone who isnt worth it get to you. Its not that hard unless someone is driven purely by their hormones. I never had bad experiences with men, I get along with men in general very well and have always been respected alot...even when I rejected someone. Jealous women, who love labels, might call this "pick me" but I dont care...it just is what it is and I dont force it. The amount of good men is bigger than the bad ones...the bad men that I may have had around me, never got my attention and energy in the first place. If you dont focus on it, you wont see it as much. Also, some people are simply attracted to people that are not good for them (all kinds of subconscious psycho stuff plays into it) and they wont even give the wholesome people any of their time, cause they are "boring" to them. The amount of women I have seen, who are the "Good girls always want the bad guys" kind, and then wonder when the bad guy actually does bad things, is stunning.

Dang the amount you react and talk vs actually giving us content…
