Any problems with your Smartband not charging? Just received mine today Smartband doesn’t seem to charge pretty useless without the Smartband

*Question* Are you able to get the App to work? I've had it for a week & nope. Otherwise, the luggage seems to work.

While most of the instructions are in Chinese, I was able to get the app to work as a remote control. I registered as a user before the Ovis arrived and it was then able to connect. I only opened the app after the suitcase and band were paired and connected, if that made any difference.

You need to register in there database in order to activate full function of the suitcase. Sadly, mine worked for one trip only. Now handle loose and red blink all the time.

*Update* Finally got it to send me the code last night. Previously it wouldn't send the code no matter how many times I tried.

where to purchase? the ovis site wont take payment?

I found www.ovis.ai from a google search. The price seems surprisingly low for Dec 2020, but I suspect it’s been a hard year to sell suitcases.

I'm aware that a number of these units to some countries were delayed severely and may not have ever been delivered. I received mine pre-pandemic and it functions as well as I would expect it to. I have backed other croud-funded projects that never shipped, but this was not a scam. It is unfortunate that the timing of the pandemic and (likely) realization that business to business sales for warehousing were an easier business model that lead Forward X to shift it's focus and provide minimal ongoing support and development. I have taken it on a few trips, but not on the trips it would have been most useful as the base weight is too high for much use on European flights. You get some interesting looks when your luggage is meandering around behind you and suddenly rushes to your side.
