This song has a very special meaning to me. In 1994, I sang Amazing Grace to my dying friend and as I sang the last line of the third verse “and Grace will leave me home”, she took her last breath and went home. I will be requesting this version to be played at my Celebration of Life when I, too, go home. Thank you Dan! You’ve taken the world to church! ♥️🎶♥️🎶

Yes! We sang it sitting with my Dad when he passed. When Wolf's mama passed last year she was saying, "Jesus I'm here just open the door, please open the door" - then she died with a smile on her face. God is good and gracious and amazing and real!

Dan Vasc is a really amazing singer and person in general! He performed a cover of Elvis' "Love Me Tender" some time ago and dedicated it to a nice couple dealing with a coming hardship. So glad so many people are getting to see his talent, he's a tremendously hard worker and him getting this recognition is heart warming. I'm sure he'd love for you to react to more of his work!

Dan Vasc has a God given talent, doesn't he? He sings this song the way it was meant to be sung. He draws you into it with his emotions. Then builds it up to the powerful last verse where you truly FEEL every word of the song. He's incredible!!! Imagine the lives he has touched with this video. Dans dad, whom has passed, gave him that harmonica & he loves it. He’s actually been around on YT for quite a while & does a lot of sounds & covers. He takes requests too. He is Brazilian I think. I love this song in particular .. beautifully done with lots of emotion..💯♥️🥰

I've been watching reactors check this out for a week or so...didn't give it a chance til last night...knew immediately, you both would love this!

This guy had the tears just streaming down my face when I heard that for the first time. I listened again, about a half dozen times and each time I got more emotional than before. I haven't heard this in a while now, so it's got me again. Never, ever, have I heard this great, grand, old, hymn done like this, but in my humble opinion, he MORE, than does it justice.

Dan is an awesome Brazilian, I first saw him several years ago on FNT. This guy is wonderful, and his voice is sensational. Thankyou for enjoying the song

Yep, he’s Christian; he’s also a family guy, humble and of probity, besides being funny and cheerful.

I have been listening to this cover every morning for a month! And it gives me goosebumps every single time. I wake up at 3:30 AM for work everyday. I've done some research too. Dan is from Brazil. He had his own metal band. But beyond that, he had done some AMAZING covers. He's so good. He had a great voice. And the way his performs this song, you can tell he's performing from the heart and he makes you feel every single word.

Dan Vasc fills my heart with absolute joy!!! I have listened to him do Amazing Grace over 100 times. He put his heart and soul into this song. He is a gift from God!!! I love him...his music covers and his harmonica playing!!!

I've wanted you to react to Dan since I found your channel; I knew you'd love him! Glad this was your first one! He's definitely a Christian, a Methodist, in fact. He deliberately released this on Good Friday as an Easter song because he wants Easter to be celebrated more. His band Fearless(with his brother Davi and friends Gabriel and Gio) have an album called Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom that is great, and they also got to do a cover of Dawn of Victory with Fabio Lione himself. Dan also got to do Beyond Belief with John Schlitt and John Lawry of Petra, and John S. is the one who made him want to be a singer in the first place. Dan Vasc is Brazilian.. His you tube channel is Dan Vasc.. the harmonica was a gift from his father before he died. Dan is not in a band. He does covers and mostly does all the instrumentals himself.. Sometimes he will sing or play with another artist. I listen to this song daily.. literally multiple times.. Heaven sent!!!

Heard this about 3 weeks ago but it doesn’t change at all that massive overwhelming impression from singing that song. He did an amazing job. So glad Amy recommended this one. 🙏🙏🙏

I am Vasc's biggest and, at 80, probably his oldest, fan. 😄 I've sent his version of Amazing Grace, and many of his other amazing covers, to friends and family all over the world. I wish this young talent every possible success. He is truly terrific. Thanks for promoting him here.

Dan and Tommy together, especially if they threw in VictorTheGuitarNerd, too, would break the internet! Found Dan first, on 9/15/20, with The Sound of Silence. A few weeks later, KZread suggested Majestica; they've been my two favorites ever since! Dan does a great cover of The Last Stand, and they've covered some of the same songs. Both great at what they do!🤘🤘🤘

Great reaction! you really felt the different emotions he imbued in the music. Dan is fantastic! I suggest you can react to the Mulan theme with it: "ill make a man out of you"; "wishmaster" (Nightwish cover) and "Toss a coin to your witcher" (one of the songs from The witcher series). You'll learn to listen to more and more versions of him, like Tommy Johansson :)
