// My Story
I am currently a software developer who once modeled and thought I wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry. While I was modeling in Hong Kong, I eventually felt the desire to further my education. I decided to depart the modeling world and move back to Canada, knowing that could be the end of my modeling opportunities. I attended Ryerson University for GCM (Graphic Communications Management), as I thought I might still work in the fashion industry in another capacity. It was in my last year of university, I was introduced to a very basic coding course. I instantly fell in love. From there I knew I wanted to pursue software development but didn't have a clue where to start. I didn't want to go back to university as I just completed a four-year degree. I decided to enroll in a 10-week intensive coding Bootcamp. From there I started working at a small startup learning and growing my technical and soft skills. I then transitioned to a larger company where I am a software developer and technical consultant today.

What is your preference? Would you choose Andriod, iOS, Database Engineering to learn? Or all three? :D

Thanks tiffany for sharing all about this courses. You're videos are really useful.
Thank you for making this video, Tiff. I always find your videos helpful and insightful.
I think what makes these courses good is the access to the employers that will source talent. It may cause a trend for other companies on the platform like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and IBM to do the same

So happy to hear!
On Coursera you can find programming courses provided by top universities. I would prefer to have a certificate issued by a prestigious university. I love that you can have access to materials that have been put together by some of the greatest minds in the field. And they really know how to teach. Or maybe I just got disappointed in a Google cloud course before and the rest could be amazing. But that one felt like a low-quality apple event 😀
Thank you for the informative and non-condescending video!
Hey tiff!! Great video. Can you also tell us about how you learnt DSA and how was yo beginning experience in it?
your video helped me alot, really thx
Great advice!
Just subscribed to channel love the content Tiff all the best from Chile ! Also are courses free ?
Thank you for another excellent video. I'm still on the Front End course cert for META which has been great, and now these new certs are available. Any idea on why IOS app developers have a higher median salary than Android? I myself have a Google Pixel phone and was considering doing the Android developer cert after the front end and was curious about it.

Hey tiff, could you make a video of network engineering, if possible? It's quite in demand, these days
Wow... I guess you already made this video. Brava!
Hi would these courses be doable by absolute beginners with zero coding experience and zero science knowledge. Thanks for all your videos :)
Imagine it like this - there is a generation able to do anything, because they were taught, but they aren't united under single purpose. MySQL has interesting tools that aren't used by the industry, because ant-man scale is too small.
I enjoy your content Tiff . All three for me 🤗

Is the salary starting point or is that after yrs of experience?
Could you please make a video on QA jobs? I want to get a QA job, what are the requirements and what resources can I use to develop related skills??? Please
That job board is a huge advantage, it's been difficult to find a job being self-taught.
I wish meta also has java developer professional certification course
I would love to get into iOS development but I only have an older Apple Macbook Air dating back 2017 which is underpowered (I tried video editing and it just freezes a lot). On the other hand I have a high end Samsung Phone and a high end Windows laptop so I may consider jumping into Android development first since I already do lots of work on my Windows laptop. If I ever upgrade to a Macbook Pro and a new iPhone in the future, then I'll get into iOS development. I'm not sure if it's important to have a powerful laptop in order to do Android/iOS development.

great question! I would say it depends on the area of study you want to continue to learn. This touches on mobile and database engineering and the other focuses more on web! :)
In Android development course, among 11 courses can I skip version control, ui/ux principal, mobile development and javascript, react basics, react native for only native app development
How is it if I am from Germany? Is there any chance to get a job in the US?
I dont know if I would suggest doing all of them but quite a few of them have the same courses between them like Front End and React Native; React native with IOS and Android; Back End with Database

Hii I'm Rio, I'm Kenyan and basically doing ICT but I've wanted to be software developer for the longest time, since I was a kid actually. Problem I don't hv the resources to pay for some of the bootcamps that are offered on the web but honestly I've watched ur videos for the longest time and honestly you really inspire me. But I honestly don't know where to begin it all seems a lot but I don't know how you could help me out or advice me but I could really use ur help......I hv a little bit of experience in codding but mainly in web development but my end goal is to become a mobile developer.

Can you elaborate what you mean by coding as a hobby for 15 years? Are you building a personal project? Are you solving algorithms on leetcode? If you really do have 15 years of coding, you should have no issues finding a job with the right resume or a referral.
