@@SuperAz1981 It's possible that Gunn merged elements of the Terrifics and JL International together,but is going with JLI since Maxwell Lord,Guy Gardner, and Metamorpho,are closely associated with that group back to when the comic series started in 1987,while Mr.Terrific,and Hawkgirl were closely associated with the Justice League Unlimited cartoon which was something of a merger of the Justice League,JLI,JSA, and Seven Soldiers of Victory.

That's my Superman right there!!!!! Also Maxwell Lord will be in the middle of all good and all evil, something similar to what Waller is which is great ❤ That look on his character feels reminiscent of the JLI run and i can't wait to see him🎉🎉

DC characters as gods (yet with very human problems, as in Greek mythology) is (IMO) one of the key differences to what superheroes in DC are to superheroes in Marvel (often portrayed as more like average guys attitudes and daily lives but with super powers and responsibilities). The difference might be subtle sometimes but there is a difference. That’s just one thing I loved about the DCEU/Snyderverse.

I assume the theme of the movies is going to be something heavily with authenticity. Look at Supermans outfit and look at the rest of theirs. Superman is the authentic super hero that is doing it for the PEOPLE. By the end of the movie, hopefully, they will leave Maxwell Lord and get their comic accurate outfits!

You might actually hit 50 episodes before the end of the summer. Certainly before the end of the year. And agreed about Hawkman's costume. All of the costumes from the JSA in Black Adam looked amazing, in my opinion, and evoked the same sort of costuming we got in Man of Steel and onward.

Absolutely false. 90% of all theatrical superhero costumes nowadays undergo VFX finishing in post-production. That's true for both DC and Marvel. That's not an opinion, just a fact.

Great video! Tbh, I'm not wild about these LordTech suits, but they definitely give off that corporate team uniform vibe. It's certainly not by accident that Superman stands out from the pack here in a very good way. I firmly believe there's a lot of storytelling going on with these designs, that we'll eventually see play out.

I think the suits are okay so long as they serve a narrative purpose. Maybe through the course of the movie, Superman teaches them to be their own heroes and then they put on their classic suits as a nice character-arc. Imagine the final shot being this: Comic-Accurate Guy Gardner flies towards the screen, and then Hawkgirl in her comic-accurate costume, and then Mr. Terrific in his suit, and then Superman in bright blue smiles at the camera and flies into the screen (like the end scene of NWH)

I’m glad Hawkgirl’s hair is showing.

I think the costumes are apart of the story where they are corporate heroes with no personality until the end of Superman until they become their own heroes like superman

I still want to say they're the Terrifics if only because Guy and Hawkgirl's costume are so similar to Mr. Terrific's and while they can most definitely change their looks I don't imagine the same for him except removing the LordTech logo. Even Plastic Man and Phantom Girl in the comics wore black and white when they were on the team so to me that's more proof from where I am but I may be wrong. But I predicted for a while now that they'd be under Maxwell Lord's purview for a while now. And even if they use the Hall of Justice as a headquarters, they don't technically need to be the Justice League to do so. A good example being the Ultimen from 'JLU'', also funded by Maxwell Lord in the series.

With Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner wearing jackets that form a " T " (basically the same as the Mister Terrific one) I think is pretty safe to assume they are The Terrifics.

What if they are not Justice league or Terrifics? What if they are a version of modern Justice Society.

Not a fan of what I see, but I'm trying to keep an open mind. I'm just patiently waiting to see what the Batman aspect of the DCU is gonna look like. If Batman's wearing blue and trunks, I'm done. Unfortunately. I fear that's exactly what's gonna happen. Hell, at this point I'm expecting see Robin in green undies and fairy shoes with a yellow cape. It feels like James Gunn is setting these characters back 50 or 60 years, and it doesn't feel good.

I think that Gunn is looking back towards the 1978 Superman film as his guide to depicting Superman because it was the first blockbuster live action Superman film,and Christopher Reeve pulled it off without looking silly. Putting Batman in trucks harks all the way back to the 60s Batman series which was all camp and action comedy. I suspect the Batman suit isn't going to be that different from Michael Keaton's updated batsuit from The Flash, which could be why Gunn hired Flash director Andy Muschietti to do Brave and The Bold.

@@TheLAGopher My point exactly. It's not 1978 and it's definitely not the 1960's. It's 2024 and these characters and their stories have evolved beyond that. Christopher Reeves Superman may not have been silly by 1978 standards, but by 2024 standards, that's some seriously hokey shit. It's a completely different world than it was in 1978, man. Over the past 25/30 years DC's content has been much darker, gritter, more violent and all around more adult oriented than Marvel's content, and I feel like a cinematic universe should reflect that. DC is a world full of bipolar heroes, deranged metahumans, psychotic killers and genocidal aliens, and I don't think making it look like a campy clown show is an effective idea. Yeah, the Batsuit will probably look a bit like the Keaton's suit in The Flash, but I would bet every dime I have that it will be blue and gray, and he'll be wearing those god awful, outdated trunks. Andy Muschietti's involvement is another reason I don't have high hopes. The guy can make good horror films, but The Flash was a cinematic turd filled with bad CGI, weird casting choices and even weirder creative choices. To each their own, but I personally don't like the direction things are going.

You covered all the bases on why the suits look similar and who the blue man is. Given the attention to detail for source material so far, my only question is, how and when will the comic book accurate suits be introduced? Maybe a few movies down the line after Gunn has released more characters that will make up a "Justice League" type team.

I do agree that they look a bit like something out of the CW, but honestly I’m not judging these bts photos too much. They will all look better in front of a proper filming camera rather than some grainy photo a bystander took.

This Superman being happy and friendly is nice. He seems like a kind and holesome guy, as he should. That said, Cavil's Superman was embattled, attacked unjustly, and was just learning to be Superman.... of course he wasn't grinning and smiling as much. I'm guessing Gunn's Superman isn't new to being a hero.

The logo for LORDTECH could easily be interpreted as a JL logo.

Keep it up,. Your growth means you are inviting hope. LORD alone knows if this movie will be good or not but the more I see the more excited I am, fans like yourself help with that. We need more of this than others who are jaded or pessimistic all the time. Superman inspires hope and it is about time we got that. Like I have said before, I am a fan of the Synderverse ( except Ezra as flash) but the DCU is what we have now so I am looking forward to it.

After seeing these suits, I'm sure now more than before that James Gunn, DC, and Warner Bros have a renewed contract with Mattel and Mcfarlane Toys.. they're setting up for an abundance of action figures for collectors and kids. I’m gonna be honest I don’t love Green Lanterns design. It looks more white than green. I was waiting a long time for Green Lanterns design and this has me kind of worried. At first I was like ehhh need to wait for CG enhancements that I know Guy and HAWKGIRL will have. Guy does need more black on his suit BUT I saw people pointing out that both of them on their chest have the LordTech logo on their chest my thoughts are Maxwell Lord is a sponsor or whatever you call it for the JSA or the terrifically so that’s why they have the matching suits and I’m assuming by the end they will be breaking away from Maxwell Lord due to something involving Metamorpho (someone we haven’t gotten a leak of yet) maybe Maxwell Lord played a part in what happened to him or he’s horrible to him or something like that.

G'day it's Steven from Down Under again Okay so I love Superman and that's thanks to Mr.Christopher Reeve, and I'm trying very hard to believe that Gunn will honour and respect Mr Reeve's legacy, however I can't see that happening. This looks like an expensive production where the so called professionals have no idea about budgets, also the easiest aspect is to achieve cool and iconic superhero suits and I can say "without a doubt" that the pictured suits are dreadful, very weak and farcical, you cannot take them seriously, nor as a collector can you be proud to display action figure designs of this calibre. Also I cannot recall any other major movie production where the public seem to have such open access to everything, movies like this are usually protected and there's an element of secrecy, yes it's certainly interesting to see all this unofficial footage and photos but they are definitely spoiler material. I'm very tolerant but I feel very disappointed, for me this isn't about Gunn or Snyder, it's about the greatest superhero known to mankind .

Man of Steel suit was Kryptonian and this one is Homemade,Probably made by Clark himself or By Ma Kent

They waste time with all this garbage when this is suppose to be a Superman movie so focus on Superman characters/villains and Superman has lots of characters and villains like Brainiac, Metallo, Magog, Manchester Black and the Elite, Mister Mxyzptlk being CGI, Mongul, Titano, Toyman with his Army of Toy Soldiers/Planes, Maxima, Lobo, Parasite, Doomsday, Cyborg Superman and others that they could do 10 Superman movies.

This new Superman outfit is garbage. Look lose, not for realistic movie. If it’s cartoon, comic book or animation this outfit look fine. They should keep the same look as Henry in Man of Steel. Realistically What kinda grown man in large red underwear and yellow belt?

@@neostorm999 I guess I’m one of those. I like the actor but I didn’t like his Batman movie at all. Watched it once and that’s it. Didn’t like the looks of any of the characters, except Colin Farrell. But, it was a success and I’m very glad that another Batman movie was successful. Have no interest in the sequel.
