Holy crap, Dracula´s new attacks and animations are so fluid, someone watching this for the first time wouldn´t be able to tell they weren´t there in the original game. I tip my hat for the creator/s, it looks and feels incredible!

@Oren Black There's nothing illegal, it's a patreon reward you don't directly buy it, and it's just a demo the mod will be available for free, and beside the guy behind this have been working on this for years and alone, he more than deserve some compensation, for basically giving more respect to this game and it's fans than Konami ever did.

@Oren Black Honnestly I have no trust about you being employed by Konami, trolls that pretend to work for a big compagny on Internet are legion and unless solid proof are given there is no reasons to trust such a claim. Secondly people don't pay the guy for the demo, he give an early access as a reward to people that supported him on patreon, the demo will be public and free eventually as will be the mod when it eventually release.

@Oren Black I have nothing to worry about, if you were truly an employee of Konami, I believe you would have better things to do than discussing in comment section of a demo video, like go investigating the mod creator instead, also a professionnal of any compagny would stay professionnal and wouldn't put smileys in their message like that.

yes,Alucard can now do combos,and has other skills,the creator posted a video showing and explaining everything

I really hope this is available to the public when it's finished, this looks amazing.

Truly outstanding work here. I'm not real big on a lot of the second dub, but one thing I appreciate here is Dracula's death yell. I find the original to be perfect, and the way the second dub's sounded as it were...was pretty bad. The audio edits for it here are very welcome and well done!

Wow, the voice acting is amazing. And the translation is much better. I mean, I miss the original's ham and cheese nature, but this is definitely higher quality and absolutely fascinating.

Just an input, I don't think you need to show the "stage clear" screen after defeating Dracula. Since the beginning part was meant to be a prologue, it would feel nicer to transition immediately to the text scrolling/voice over part. It just feels so unnatural. So in the essence of it being a prologue, it's just better from the the story perspective to have a smooth transition 'til Alucard comes in.

It sounds like a rather difficult project to carry out, but it would really be incredible if there was a final version in which all the enemies and bosses of the castle have their revision. And both Alucard and Maria have improved attacks and animations just like Richter

Despite being the finale of "Rondo of Blood", Richter's moveset gave players a LOT of leeway against an otherwise nerfed Dracula in SotN (never saw him shoot his screen-wide "blue wave" attack back then, which was very present in Rondo and here). The stat boost and item reward provided some incentive to fight without taking damage or subweapons, but aside from the novelty of fighting Dracula at the start of the game, that was it. Here, the sequence has been "balanced out": While Richter's abilities have been expanded EVEN FURTHER than before, Dracula's moveset was revised to account for his insane mobility. Not only do you get his full Rondo moveset, but you have some classic hits from CV3/4, with some "Order of Ecclesia" flair and a ferocity befitting a video game final boss, not just a narrative one. On top of all that, there's a few new moves thrown in, mostly to keep seasoned players on their toes. As a result, you get an entertaining sequence that "captures" that dread of fighting a final boss, rather than just a near-copy of the previous game. There's no risk of "losing" the fight, of course, but those going for a no-hit run WILL be put through the paces and it's going to be glorious. If the Prologue is THIS intense, I wonder how the final boss is going to turn out. Here's hoping we get to see that one day.

@JK_Spencer I think that the creator of this version wants to unite the modern recognizable aspects of Castlevania games to the previously established gameplay of SOTN, which seems to be quite applicable according to this gameplay demo. I am looking to seeing how much more improved this gameplay will be when Alucard become playable in the next portion of the game~

It's from the Dracula X Chronicles version of Symphony of the Night, which is, I believe, a direct translation of the original Japanese script.

While I don't care for this interpretation at all, I do admire the amount of effort and care that has gone into it.

I didnt know this guy wanted you to PAY for this konami ip game (konami game) if i see this guy in court in the near future paying back everything it will not be a surprise and also he doesnt even have robert belgrade doing alucard... this game is a failure from the start.. no matter how much i like it i and thousands of others will not like the voice... its our opinion just as much as it is his to choose this nobody from psp voice actor.. what a fail! belgrade even sounds like belmont how can you skip him?????
