That is the first thing that I thought of as well. I think you can sorta see it? But honestly it feels like it should be a lot bigger than it is. I mean it’s gotta lift the weight of a man and the weight of like a small vehicle. Edit: but the suit it’s self looks pretty spot on gotta say. Bit iffy on the firearm design. Would like to see ww2 guns or guns straight out of the games, service rifle (AR-10/15), battle rifle (G3), varmint rifle, caravan shotgun. Stuff like that. If they use the fallout 4 assault rifle I’d love to see it being used more as a LMG/BAR type gun. Or it being used by powder armour users, then it sorta works as an assault rifle for power armour.

This isn't lore accurate armor. The jetpack he's using is very wrong and the armor looks like T60 but it's not and has weird dimensions and looks like it's made of plastic.

@@zyourzgrandzmazIt's a t60 modified for BOS use, the jetpack armjets should've been auxillery for the backpack jetpack, but probably was nulled because they needed easy access to the hatch opener.

Honestly it would have been cooler if he was on the top of the building and then jumped off since the power armor allows you to not take any fall damage Edit friendly reminder to everyone that decides to comment, this comment was made before the show came out I had zero context other than this short alone With that said have a beautiful day

He's new to the suit. Next season, you'll see better things. The story worked better this way because if he was really good in the armor, he would have killed the ghoul.

For anyone curious, the power armor is all practical effects its not CGI. In an interview, they had said they wanted to use the jet pack but couldn't because it was too back heavy. I'm sorry, guys :(

the character has never used power armor before, so for this scene he doesn’t know how to use the armor yet. I’m not sure why they advertised with it though, out of context it looks super silly.

SPOLERS: So I know the answer is probably plot reasons, but at the end when we see the ghoul take on like 2 or 3 Brotherhood of Steel soldiers in power armor due to a flaw in the welding... Why did he not just straight away do that to Maximus here? Like as a show, I get it you can't kill Maximus, but like in universe? I don't see a reason why not just kill him.

Here is my idea, the three characters they are focusing on in the show are the three karmas Vault Dweller is Good Karma, Mutated Ghoul Bounty Hunter is Bad Karma, Brotherhood of Steel Soldier is Neutral Karma.

The landing sounded like a power armor made of marshmallows

Ngl the scratches made the armor more badass

The thing that bugs me is that the airship doesnt make sence lorewise as the prydwen was made out of the enclave mobile base crawler lorewise, its not like they mass produce it. Also goofy ahh jetpack but we can explain that by saying the BOS decided to upgrade from the fo4 jetpack

What i find worse about this scene is how long this fight goes for, when you learn later that cooper knows a weakness in the power armour, to one shot the pilot with his pistol.

All he needed was a “woah, woah, woah!” While flying 😂

Nonferal ghouls are more a genetic lottery that they didn't become feral, though that's more imo from their in game lore.

@@fukaze2021 There're always going to be people entirely butthurt because it doesn't encapsulate the entire Fallout experience. Which is an arbitrary desire because it's a different medium that could never hit on all the points a video game does. The show has its flaws, but it certainly has its strengths and I enjoyed it a lot for what it was.

@@blobjorn3248 I haven't seen it do anything egregious so far. There's a few bumps here and there, but mostly it's been pretty loyal to a lot of the Fallout experience and lore that I've noticed. Season 2 I'm more worried about because it's hinted they're going into New Vegas, which could overwrite a lot of lore. But Season 1 I haven't seen intolerable problems.

They have always been opportunistic (experimenting in people after society falls), but they never actually wanted the world to end. And they did it for a stupid reason too. They didn't want to lose money.

Why is the jetpack not traditionally at the back?

Also has anyone noticed the main character has never been a full fledge secluded vault dweller like we see in 88 or 101 or other still surviving vaults or vaults that have emptied out in between Fo3,FoNV, F04, Here me out, Fo1 you are a vault dweller but only a few generations since the bombs fell population control wasn’t a issue it was water and keeping needed resources, Fo76 is not so far after the bombs dropped, Fo3 you are born and raised in a secluded vault but your parents aren’t from the vault, Fo4 you are a vault dweller but was frozen in a mostly dead vault, the TV Show has two vaults that share population and that Vault dweller is a born and raised secluded vault dweller. So from all this I get that any current vault that hasn’t opened itself to outside population and still have clean dna are all for the most part inbreds either lightly or heavily which explains why some made stupid decisions and any time we played a vault character there is a line where they aren’t EXACTLY a vault dweller. That means a lot of the characters we have met that are vault dwellers are inbreds in blue jumpsuits but the MC who got to enjoy/experience the luxury of being in a vault while also not having to worry about accidentally or the lack of option marrying your cousin

For those complaining about the jet pack looking goofy, they made this show with some physics in mind. It’s a more practical version of a jet pack, because if it were on his back, he would just flip over. If you look up real jet packs, you’ll see what I mean, but honestly Bethesda wasn’t looking forward to having Mandalorians in their show…
