As long as Vietnam is still ruled by the oppressive and exploitive Communist regime, her potential remains greatly diminished. For any 1% that wants to stay, 99% of the population wants to get out, and many have risked their lives doing just that (for example, 39 doomed lives found in UK container truck recently on the news, and that's only what's been reported), unfortunately. Yet another shocking and also recent example is that during the Covid pandemic when almost all countries assisted their citizens with financial aids in one form or another, the corrupt and murderous Vietnamese Commie regime saw it just another opportunity not to help but to exploit its ruled citizens even more, essentially making money over the corpses of its citizens by presumably killing at least 30K of them, due to misdiagnosis and being and cramped into barbwired unhygenic living quarters for isolations, so that they had to sleep on the concrete floors, with inadequate food, water, or medicine, like animals, with the fake nostril Covid test kits, mislabeled as approved by World Health Organization (WHO) in Việt Á scandal, colluded by at least 4 different government agencies (Y Tế , Khoa Học, Công Nghệ, Quân y) and the top Politburo members, including Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Phạm Minh Chính, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. Murderous Vietnamese Commie regime even had a thug murdered Christian pastor Giuse Trần Ngọc Thanh, like it has done with many other pastors across the nation. There is a reason why the current Commie Vietnam ranks at the bottom of the world in freedom of speech and freedom of the press, barely above Commie China and Commie North Korea. Similarly, its passport ranks at the bottom, 89th out of 111 countries for a reason, barely above North Koea 104th rank. even below many African nations. For comparison, South Korea 2nd rank. That's what Republic of South Vietnam would have likely been ranked among at least the top 10 had it not been invaded and occupied by the North Vietnamese Commie terrorists, aided by Commie Soviet and Commie China. Travelers to Vietnam in her current form (not at all like this before the Communists took over) should keep this in mind. Behind the beauty of the land and smiling faces at popular tourist destinations, there are a lot of darkness and sorrow, horror, and sufferings all over the country.

Great video. Heading to HCM next week and this will help. Were you happy with the area of your hotel? Choosing a hotel in a good location is always the hardest thing for me to figure out when going to a new city. If possible I like being able to walk to restaurants, cafes, craft beer bars, etc.

Best thing about Vietnam is it's general affordability, obviously. The dollar takes you far, far over there. I never expected the Dong to be so under-valued, because all I'd heard about Vietnam was about how well it was doing economically. Similar to the South Korean Won, before traveling I thought a more powerful home currency came along with economic prosperity.

In economics everything is relative, in Europe or in the USA where economic output, consumption and export do not increase by that much, inflation canbe deadly. Emerging economies actually bet on high inflation with the hope that the resulting economic output/consumption increase can made up for it

You can't expect good service if you pay little. VietJetAir is a low-cost airline. you should choose Vietnam Airlines, the delay time will be less. I'm Vietnamese, I'm glad you come to Vietnam to travel.

we already visited the war museum in our first HCM video 3 years ago! 🤭

Fyi, dragonfruits are very popular in Vietnam especially during the pandamic, the border (to China) was closed so farmers couldn't sell them, they even had to throw them away, fed them to animals. Therefore people started to make use of dragonfruits to support the farmers. Now we have, as you can see, dragonfruit beer, and many others like dragonfruit wine, bread, dumplings, desserts, salad etc. Everytime you eat or drink something made of dragonfruits that means you help our hard-working farmers. Btw the weather is ridiculous here in HCMc during rainy season I know lol but I'm glad you guys seemed to enjoy your stay. Thanks and welcome!

Vietjet Airlines is actually the worst flight company in VN . It is nicknamed the `Delayed Airlines`or the `Sorry Airways` because they always start their announcement with the phrase : `Sorry , we have to delay the flight....for one , two , three or more hours because of X, Y, Z reasons . It`s a cheap company but not a reliable one . You should fly with Vietnam Airlines which is a bit more expensive , but much better . In life you always get for what you pay

You have 150 - 200$ you can survive one month in Vietnam
