First Impression: XP Deus II WS6 Master Initial Hunt With WSA II-XL Headphones.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on the NEW WS6 Master (XP Deus 2 light) from XP Metal Detectors along with their new WSA II-XL full over the ear headphones. When you look at the WS6 setup you immediately wonder if the performance will match that of the Deus 2. I think this videos speaks for itself. The WS6 Master worked really well for this permission. I'll more to share as I just begin to take a deep dive into the menus and configuration options that the WS6 Master has to offer. @xpmetaldetector

Awesome thank you. To be honest this was just using the stock Fast. The only thing I changed was I bumped up the sensitivity to 95 and added in a notch from 0-50.
Where did you get the lighter, hollow shaft? I have had my D2 for about a month now, and I would love to have it even lighter than it is now! As usual, great videos!
@MentalMetal
Жыл бұрын
It comes with the WS6 Master package.
Not only is it lighter, but basically the exact same machines. My only negative is that you have to use headphones. If I’m hunting with a buddy then we can’t hear each others signals etc…. I actually like the little puck design. More sleek look to it. Thanks for video!
@MentalMetal

Thanks Kody you are welcome.
Enjoyed the video...but I have one question. Will the puck attach directly to the shaft? Or do I need to buy that little rubber mount thing? Thank you!!
@MentalMetal

you will need the mount/puck holder.
I wish I would have known about the Deus 2 Master before I ordered the Equinox 900 a few days ago.

Both machines will serve you well.
Hey man! Why XP didn't put in manual that you can use for XP Deus2 Master light WS6 headphones as well? I made my Deus2 Master light and buy WS6 headphones as extra and working great!
OK here’s a question for you. On my D2 shaft assembly I have the remote control for the Deus2. If I buy the Anderson carbon fiber Deus2 shaft assembly available on Amazon, can I mount the WS6 puck on that shaft assembly and use it as a second Deus2 metal detector? And if I do that, does that necessitate me having to buy another pair of headphones?
@MentalMetal
Жыл бұрын
I think you will need another pair of headphones. Yes you could have 2 working Deus 2 machines however, once you pop the puck off the WS6 Headphones you will have nothing to power the headphones. At this point, once you mount the puck on the other shaft it will now be the WS6 Master so you will need to pick up another pair either the WSA II, or WSA II-XL headphones or you could purchase the Jack Adapter and have wired headphones.
@Deus-Too
Жыл бұрын
@@MentalMetal , you’re right Scott. I’ve priced the whole thing, and if I buy the headphones that you were using in this video that’s $200, and on Amazon the carbon fiber Deus2 full assembly shaft by Anderson is $189, so for around $400 I can have another Deus2 metal detector. I think it kind of makes sense, what do you think?
This machine looks awesome. I have an Orx, and a Deus I, but am considering one of these. Where I live there are a lot of rattlesnakes so wearing headphones in the mountains is not a good thing. What if XP could make a small external speaker that would clip onto the shaft just below the puck, and plug into the puck? Or a wireless external speaker that could clip to your collar or your shirt pocket? I think something like this would be awesome for this WS6 setup.
@MentalMetal
Жыл бұрын
You can connect a small speaker coming from the puck. Gary Blackwell showed it in one of his videos.

@@MentalMetal you made a tweak to it to make those nickels pop out. I was curious what you did.
Seems like that WS6 Master is going to give the machines that are in the same category a run for their money. It looks like a powerful little machine. Especially if the price of a Deus 2 isn’t in your budget and you want the same kind of punch.

Yep there is no difference in performance and they did a good job of structuring the menu. Its very intuitive.

@MentalMetal

They are all relative but I never go higher than 2.5 for reactivity, down to 1 for more depth. Silencer I typically start at 2 and adjust as needed. Notch is up to you, I don't typically use one. but you can try 0-40 if you are hunting for coins.

I have the headphones they sound pretty decent except for their two flimsy and fall off my head all the time they should have made it with a better bracket tried to modify them so they will stay on my head better but they need to fix that otherwise the headphones sound pretty so so if it's really windy they'll blow off your head on the beach so what's your opinion and does anybody else have the same problem I'm having with the headphones
@MentalMetal
Жыл бұрын
You can adjust them to fit and I'm assuming you are referring to the XLs. You must have a tiny head if they blow off in the wind. I haven't had any issues like that but I have a fat head :-)

I own both the Minelab Equinox 800 and the XP Deus II. The quality and performance of XP products is vastly superior to Minelab. Also XP products are made in France while Minelab products are made in Malaysia, China and Australia. Yes XP products are expensive but you get what you pay for.

Thanks for your thoughts Robert. I'm not knocking anything from Minelab since I've had nothing but success with their machines as well as the XP line of products. They all have their flaws but XP is better than a lot of them out there.
