Irenturn You say "Dead people don't pray". Well, Moses was dead. But Jesus conversed with him, did He not? God is God of the living, not of the dead. Yes, a person's mortal body may have perished but his/her soul lives on. That is where a person's will resides - in the soul. Peace

cyn harman , it is what is known as remorse of conscience, not to be confused with contrition. They hate in others what they have lost , faith in God and do not understand He is at the doorway waiting for them to show the slightest sign of contrition.

This is interesting to me because I'm into biblical archeological.. like to see more further back.

I didn't hear that they moved him to St Peter's ! So happy.... he was the greatest Holy Father of our time. If God willing I can make it back to the Vatican I want to see his resting place. It is the best experience to go there !!!

During all the televised programming before his funeral the media kept saying over and over again how he wanted not to be a embalmed and buried below in the dirt. I didn't see the dirt and he is in a coffin????? I am confused.

He was moved because he is in the process of being declared a saint

And how, precisely, would any human being know such a thing, as no human being possesses the capacity to make such a determination?

Look up the meaning of saint and see those are titles reserved to a spiritual Catholic life. The degree of which is not of the common amongst us in the eye of the Catholic Faith. I am sure that there is room in people with a good soul to be o.k. with this. I respect all opinions having stood by these saintly people on earth.

please would you know where you can buy 1st class relics of saint pope john paul 2nd?? I am looking and looking but everywhere that sells it, sells it for well over than what I can afford. :-( I live in Ireland and I have absolutely no chance at owning such a gift. please if you can help, I would appreciate it so much. I am very ill healthwise and I feel I would benefit grately fro mowning such a 1st class relic....especially from this marvelous saint. I have loved him for many many years and I know he did so much good in his life. He did suffer a lot, having lost all his family members quite early on in his life and people who he knew and cared for.

Dear Madam, I remember very well the summer when he was elected. Three popes in one year, it was strange, and my sister, which really liked Johannes Paul I, still says she thinks it was something strange which made him leave the earth. My best friend is catholic, and she adored Johannes Paul II. She used to call him 'the old Pope, our right one'. She learned to love benedict, too, and now she likes Franziskus, but she was Born in 1970, and Johannes Paul II was the Pope she remembered from her childhood. It must be relly lovely for a believer, to see again anything related to the Pope, which had left earth many years ago. I am happy to meet you, and to see how much you enjoyed :) He was blessed to have such a lovely Lady like you in his church :) I hope, you will have a very Long, healthy, and happy life. But when one day you will leave earth, I know, when you met all your beloved ones, which have waited for you impatiently, the dear 'old Pope' will come and tell you, he is happy to meet you at last :) And I hope he likes his new resting place. The old one was more quiet, I think, but perhaps you will get the chance and see where he is now somehow :) I send many good wishes to you, many greetings, and please, be blessed, dear nice Ms. Wilson. Amen :)
