I'm on a similar journey. Have fixed wing commercial ratings and want to add a helicopter rating. Weight was way out of control. Started at 340 and needed to be a max of 220. 1/2 way there, maybe 6 more months. Great vid.

I remember my first flight. It wasn't that long ago, so I also remember how bad I was at it.

god i can't imagine being a heli CFI for initial students haha. everyone trying to kill you. seems very unstable compared to fix wing. Gonna take my first lesson in May and hopefully I don't scare my instructor haha

Yep, I need to give this a try. Need that first flight :) Looking at helicopters or planes but need to decide. Thanks for the video.

Glad you liked it! Totally go for that first flight. Most of the book knowledge is the same for fixed wing and rotorcraft. So you can get your private pilots license in either one and then train to add the other later. After this video I started training in fixed wing. Once I have that done I plan to get my add on for helicopters.
