Just FYI: the lids of copier paper boxes fit perfectly inside those desks. And they are easy to carry from room to room. Names can go on the outside of each lid.

I remember reading somewhere, I wish I could find it, that rewriting anchor charts takes away some of the muscle memory that you establish as you create them with the kids. A tip I saw was to pre-prepare chart paper with some type of border, maybe a line and dot or squiggles, but that overall just keep them as is.

So excited to start the year! My first day is September 9th, but this week we have teacher PD so I can set up my new classroom! Three classrooms in three years 💪🏼

I saw a teacher put different colored duct tape down the spines of notebooks for different classes. Then the bin color they were stored in coordinates with spine color.

I am the same as you. I am super particular about things, and I get irritated easily. This year i had to do a special water bottle place because I absolutely hate water bottles, from the sounds they make when they fall, to the mess that they make.

Would you do a video on how you use your Writer's Notebook and how you teach writing. I struggle with that and greatly want to make my writing instruction better. And the picture books you use please? I would greatly appreciate it so very much. Love your ideas. Alicia from CT

Public schools don’t start back till September 13th (NYC), but I so look forward to your early Sunday morning uploads - a lot of great ideas to try! 30 days file system and the gumball machine 👌🏾

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing your video today! I have a (hopefully) helpful suggestion for your chart paper stand. I felt like mine was ALWAYS in the way, so just like you are using the magnetic rods for your 40 book challenge rings, you can also use a magnetic towel rod (I got mine from Amazon) and some binder rings, and hang your chart paper pad from the rod on your white board. (I do realize that you have limited whiteboard space, though.) I love your videos, keep sharing! : )

I like the changes to your schedule!! 😀. I feel that your kiddos will benefit greatly and hopefully you won’t need to make changes (but we all know how that goes). Also, I kind of knew that your content time was meant for either Science and/or Social Studies (If I’m not correct, let me know). I’m back teaching 5th grade this school year and it’s been great thus far! 😀. Pacing is going well, routines and procedures are getting better, and other things are falling into place! 😀. Things take time, but our hard work will pay off! 😀

Hi Bridget! I love the dry erase schedule cards. I have been a long time subscriber to you and Pocketful of Primary/Michelle for years. I just wanted to let you know that you are amazing in everything you do. What is the difference between Block 1 and Block 2?
