@@kw9849 Ownership is a funny thing when it comes to computers and electronics. Ownership in our culture often gets viewed as a legal thing. When in reality, I think it's whoever has control over the thing. That's the owner. New computers are owned by the manufacturers. Spot is very likely manufactured in such a way that it's true owner will be boston dynamics, or whoever holds the key to the back door.

Reading the article really does paint how useful something like Spot can be in public sevices. Search and rescue, bomb defusal, descalation... Its all truly interesting. It should also be pointed out that Boston Dynamics has an entire article about their ethics in the description, too. People are so quick to jump to conclusions.
