Sama Baloch caste was a famous caste in Muslim history, this caste had given ruling dynasty to Sindh province in that era. These were the descendants of Sambha, the son of Shri Krishna, the main branch of Yaduvas. Their second branch had gone to Jabulistan and lived in Jabulistan. Keeping the name of the original dynasty, they were called Yadus. Sambha's descendants immortalized the name of their ancestors in Sistan and the southern Sindh valley. Sambhakot was their capital. Jodecha of Kutch region and 'Jam' of Saurashtra and Sindh region are connected to this same branch. When he accepted Islam, he started calling himself 'Jam' instead of 'Sama'. This had no effect on their ancestors being Hindu Yaduvanshi. Colonel Tad is of the opinion that V.S. They were Rajputs till 1436 (AD 1380), so about forty years later, when Rao Kelan Bhati married ( to javeda princess of DGk daughter of jam ismail khan )into this caste, he also had no hesitation in marrying his daughter to Kelan, because in their families in the past, Marriages were taking place.
