What do you think of the all-electric 2023 Fisker Ocean?

Electric car production literally creates 70% more emissions. You should see the strip mining operations, some in Africa and China use slave and child labor. Communist Canada can keep their cars.

About time one of these EV makers put a solar charger in the roof. College engineering teams have been doing that for years!!!

Fisker Coachbuild, Fisker Automotive, VLF Automotive, and now trying Fisker Inc.. Henrik Fisker is the Jack Kevorkian of the automotive industry.

For a commuter car, solar panels are a hilariously bad idea. I think the added weight basically never offsets the benefit.

@@bobhope3940 Everyone should be moving to hydrogen. EVs are useless on inter-State travel.
California Mode is a great idea as It will be useful here in Florida. The range of the vehicle is best in class. I can see why this vehicle has gotten so many awards. Henrik Fisker has in the past designed some of the most iconic cars in the world(Austin Martin DB9, BMW Roadster Ford Shelby GR as great examples. I looked at over 10 EV models and decided on the Fisker Ocean for my first EV after seeing so many available charging stations in my area.

I like California mode and the solar roof. Very nice looking suv 👏
After testdriving this beast, I can confirm that videos do not do it justice! It has a very imposing stance and the interior, despite the plastic looks, very premium and soft to touch. I'm driving a 2022 Model 3 right now, and hopping into the Ocean was night and day, especially the suspension. Fisker is off to a great start! I'm feeling way more confident with my Alaska preorder, especially because they confirmed NACS will make it to 2025 Models.

Thanks. Looking forward to my Fisker ocean sport. Have a test drive schedule soon. Hoping it doesn’t feel to big. I have to deal with crowded parking.

You honestly thought the interior was premium? If so, nothing you say can be trusted. There is nothing premium about a FOO interior. Unfortunately.
Fantastic Car. I love and enjoy my Fisker Ocean One every day. I'm happy ;)
Kristen does such an awesome job of including her opinion while seeing the other point of view, and she is wonderfully concise while including the right amount of information. I got a great insight of the car all in under 7 minutes. Well done!!!

Nicely balanced review - trustworthy and unbiased.
What do you mean 500 activations?
Amazing car, and a really great review!!
I saw one on the tollway in Dallas a few weeks ago, good looking car. Texas is big oil country but I think I've seen more EVs here than anywhere else. I even caught a shot of the Tesla Cybertruck on Dec. 4th in Prosper TX on 380. Must have been one of the first 10 delivered.
I like the design, but I am a Range Rover fan, not sure I could live with the limited view out the back and as for the vents that’s a novelty to far 👍🏻🏴
Good review.
Great review, and great reviewer. Let's go!
great review but didn't hear anything about the charging standards with everyone adopting to NACS. So glad Ocean goes with Solar roof. that's a no brainer to me since i park outside 365 days a year and can use some free solar miles.

Fisker signed for NACS, I testdrove one myself yesterday and the representant told me 2025 for NACS.

Love the solar but Just wish it was offered on all models. Not worth the $20,000 extra for me though and I live in a very sunny area.
Boost Mode - limited to 500 activations??? Explain that

You’re never going to do more than 500. You think you will, but you won’t.

The reason they don't is because it isn't cost-effective. Even Fisker mentioned that in an interview.
This is the girl from the V10 m5 video!😍 oh wow I knew she looked familiar!😄😄
Fine, relevant analysis. Thanks, Kristen Lee.
Decent looking exterior, I would probably wait a couple of years until they figure out all the QC issues before considering one.
Did you say “boost mode” is limited to 500 activations? For the life of the car?!
I got my Fisker this week and have had EVERY SINGLE TECHNICAL PROBLEM YOU can imagine and no one to call or go to for help. . Not having a functional key fob is a real problem and I truly hope they fix it since thought I was going to be able to use my phone as a key and that’s not the case . I am already NOT happy with this car and regretting this purchase 😢 soooo many problems I can only Thank God I kept my Tesla as my daily car

Cool 😎 Car
Looks like a new version Nissan Pathfinder.
I had no idea fisker was still making cars... ( it looks very european)
I understand having variety in this segment is key. However, we're talking about a company that has been restructured so many times. It's a wonder its still around. Where have you guys been hiding Kristen?? She should be your lead on car reviews! 🙂

I’m curious. I know about the the Karma. Was there other cars or startups with Henrik Fisker? Thanks.
What you didn’t put in the video is how obnoxious the fake built in sound is of putting the car into drive or reverse
When you drive, your legs OMG.
Magna builds this for fisker so getting parts over the years should not be an issue. Pretty cuv and nice insights from the reviewer plus she’s easy on the eyes.

Why is it buying a car is becoming putting down payment to a house😂
So after 500 boost uses, you're stuck below 500hp forever? I'll pass.
Motortrend has figured out or decided to spin their "reviews" toward the other 50% - thats the other half of humanity that doesnt give an F in understanding how a car works and how it performs

Guaranteed that Fisker approached MT and all the other "influencers" to peddle this car. 1/2 the comments are about the melba toast reviewer. At least Doug Demuro doesn't put you to sleep. Best thing about the Ocean and all the other disposable EV commodity cars is that they will have completely disappeared from memory once the battery dies.

What?! That's one of the main reasons I started reading Motortrend magazine as a child!!! They ALWAYS went into the technical of how a car worked. What made aspects good or flawed. She went over features dynamics and was critical of things like controlling the vents and others. This was very informative. This was a preview car not a loaner where they had it for a while to go more in depth.

Hmmm. I’m spending $37k on this. Seems like a great deal. Saving up my money next year’s sport trim.
That roof makes me sick just watching this
Controlling vent directions from a touch screen???? What a terrible system. It distracts the driver and adds moving parts that are more potential points of failure as well as adding weight. It's only a matter of time before a car comes out with a touch screen instead of a steering wheel that will force you to navigate a menu just to turn left!

It does seem like an interesting design choice since they decided to have physical controls for the hvac and radio.
Why does she keep referring to them as if they’re a new company and a start up. Nobody forgot what happened with them and I don’t think they’re going to win anyone over with that in mind 😂
@allenlecorre
9 ай бұрын
Because the original Fisker company no longer exists. It was bought out by a Chinese company. Henrik Fisker retained the rights to the Fisker name only, nothing of the original company moved on with him, so yes it is in fact a startup, this is not the same company.
