Did you price the CIH at all to compare the difference in paint. They nice units and I would buy the steel rolls too.

A bit keeper but trade in value is lower down the road... They also wouldn't alow me as much for my trade in on the old one i had. I just went to where i could get rid of my old one... get a new one for the least amout of money (all dealers i checked have good service. I dont bother checking with dealers i dont care for)

that must be a powerful machine, looks like you got over a lot of ground with it. was that a day's worth of cutting or just a couple of hours?

I started at about 11 in the morning and was home by 7 in the evening. Had three different fields with two being 20 miles away so i had some drive time during the day.

Just curious. Why does that thing use a 3-point instead of the drawbar? Are there actually times when raising that end helps?

Because it allows much sharper turns without destroying U joints when under power

I LOVE 2 point equipment that is the main reason... the draw bar set up uses an adapter you have to put on your drawbar and i would rather just lower my 2 point hitch and lift it to hook up the mower... not go to shop.... get wrenches to get drawbar adapter on. I just think its easier to hook and unhook... They both allow for turning over 90 degrees the pto always stays straight

That is not good... I hate break downs but that seems to come with age... after so many acres things get tired. Needs fixed replaced or repaired. Just have to do whats best for your operation!

I priced a new Holland a couple years ago that was still unused but was a couple years old and the deal was good but I couldn't figure out how to make the payments so I lost out on a brand new 7450 for a $20,000 savings Your machine is working nice , you can send me up his little 12' brother and I'll knock down first cut.

That sucks that you missed out on a good deal....But alot of times you have to get your needs taken care of and then IF there is any money left get some wants.... To many people get what they want and not what they need

We've had two green ones and currently have a red one.. Both green ones had the impeller conditioner, love the impeller conditioner!!! The red one is nicer in many respects, but has rolls.... Went for making 3-5 day hay to 5+ days.. but when we couldn't get driveline parts for over six weeks for the last Deere, we got the only discbine in the state... Replaced drivelines on it two years ago.. We can't do a 16' cut, never get it dry, so 10'.. still get 8+ acres an hour..
