In 2000 I started meeting a lot of Albanians who had come to England. I loved their warmth and hospitality. I quickly learned their language and in 2003 I went to Tirana for a short holiday. I loved it so much I didn't want to go home. In 2004 I sold my house, left England, and came to live in Tirana. I love it so much! I could never go back to living in England again.

Albanian language is the real " Ancient Greek" language. Greeks don't speak " Ancient Greek" language, their language it is called Koine, the language of the Church and Byzantium, a language made up. They don't understand " the Ancient Greek" language at all, but Albanian can explain Ancient Greek and Archaic Latin language, that's why we call Albanian " the mother tongue of Greek and Latin". Albanians never changed their language, Greeks changed it twice during history. Albanian is very primitive( ancient), it has 365 syllabus words, while Greek has only 7. That's why Albanian is called the language of Pelasgians and Illyrians, the only tribes inhabiting the Peninsula. Greeks or Helen's never existed in history. They were created when Greece was created,on the back of Albanians. Even genetic tests are proving who the " real Greeks " were. History needs to be written properly, because this has been the most manipulative story of all time, all done with the " blessing " of Europe to destroy the most Ancient people of Europe - Albanians.

I found your first impressions valuable as it gave me a fresh new perspective on travel overall. Also, I purchased Rosetta Stone's lifetime plan yesterday through your link and I'm loving it so far! Currently taking an intermediate French course and found it well-detailed with a perfect balance of speaking and listening lessons. Definitely a valuable language learning tool 👍🏼

Such a beautiful slow paced vlog, so enjoyable to watch and so relaxing too. I have seen other vlogs of Tirana but they all seemed like rushed and I didn’t enjoy them. Love your attention to details, details matter so so much to change a mindset especially when it comes to stereotypes. Albania has its problems like any other country does, there are always to sides everywhere you go but the way you appreciated the beautiful things you saw around Tirana it’s really heartwarming and makes you wanna watch more of these vids that you are making. Greetings from Sydney!

Hi Alina! This is a great introduction to Tirana and Albania! I’m impressed - well crafted video with informative content, that’s a pleasure watch! Tirana is beautiful! Living in the US, I also miss unique Canadian foods - even Harvey’s Hamburgers. The Rosetta-Stone offer comes just in time for Christmas giving! Thanks! Are you thinking of doing a livestream from the shores of the Adriatic Sea? I’d love to see some warmer beaches during the cold North American winter. Be happy, safe and healthy, Alina!!!

Thanks, Gediminas! Yes, I love Harveys too lol. Their veggie burgers are surprisingly very good for a fast food place as well. I will be doing a live from the north to begin with, but will try and do one from Saraande and on the coast later on. Hope you enjoy Rosetta Stone if you try it!
