FIRST DAY after beach and jetties were OFFICIALLY CLOSED - did the fish change?

Jetties and beach we closed for what felt like a year and a half. This is the first or second day after reopening and it could not have been better weather.

Got to work this morning to find out my truck got canceled. Sitting here watching your vids instead of going fishing cause I have a storm coming in. Better safe than sorry I say. Went to the IL river on my birthday last week for some catfish but all I ended up catching was a 5" Drum on a worm and a 22" Bowfin on cut bluegill. I bet I could have gotten something on the Drum, but the asian carp have hurt them too bad to use the lil guy for bait. Better luck next time to both of us!

Was down at Corpus all week and winds were 20-30+. N. Pack jetty surf side was only side reasonable to fish. Caught tons of sand trout a few specks 1 slot red & plenty of Lady fish. Friday wind was 5+ and fished Packery channel bridge n caught 1 bull red, 3 slot reds and 10 keeper Specs. Then hit the surf and waded out to 2nd cut caught lots of nice size whiting & 1 slot red. Just wished winds & water were like they were Friday all week. Will be heading down from Dallas again in he future and will hit Port Aransas jetty also while down there

I've always enjoyed your videos, especially the ones about your bote rover. I am looking into getting a small skiff style boat for myself, possibly a bote rover, solo skiff, or powerfisha 16. For someone who has no experience with owning and operating this (or similar) type of craft, what advice would you give?
