I am 70 yrs old and this song was on a Spotify playlist. I was convinced it was a duet with Adele and a.n.other. Had to Google the lyrics to find them, now I can't stop playing it. Never too old to enjoy beautiful new music. thanks ladies.

Your comment is so refreshing. I have always been annoyed by people who need to refer to a time that has already gone in order to bring any positive thought to their mind. I am a truly nostalgic person but I am also aware that not everything should be kept like "back in the days". I am half your age and an absolute fan of music of now, then, and still to come. I can perfectly imagine myself turning 70 and falling in love with some random song of the 2050's. Enjoy your music!

It’s about continually falling in love with the people who are incapable or unwilling to ever give you the same amount in return. An ongoing tragedy of being so full of love, that it continuously tears you apart, for all the love you give is being wasted on the blinded and selfish. I can’t say this is un-relatable. Such a beautiful, and yet melancholic way to express just how it feels to be in the situation yourself.

I was trying to figure this out. Why so sad ? Now I get it. 1973 I fell in love at first sight in 9th grade. I had been away for a year. When I returned, all of the girls were going crazy over this guy named David Vincent. I thought they were all crazy. Because the only DV that knew was this annoying red headed guy, who was mean and sort of weird. It was on Sock Hop day, when we all dressed 50's . A group of us girls were standing in the quad, when a group of most popular 9th grade guys all walked by us, just to give us an eye full. They were in white T shirts with empty cig packs rolled in their sleeves, and roll cuff blue jeans. Hair greased back. Too Cool for School. That's when I saw him for the first time. *A Walking god* The girls were all giggles and whispers. My eyes were fixed on him as time stood still. "Who is that ?" I said. DAVID VINCENT they replied. "That's David Vincent ?" I knew I was doomed. Life was never the same after that. He played every sport . I watched every sport. I positioned myself to be near him at every single oppertunity . I could not take my eyed off of him. He was glorious... And he knew it too. He was BMOC. And I was a very shy, awkward little thing. I was sure that he was out of my league. I admired him from afar for the next four years. Then..... He went off to college. And joined the air force. 10 years later, I drove 800 miles to attend my class reunion. Of course hoping to finally get my chance with him. As l had grown into a beautiful, confident woman. He arrived with his fiancé. So not fair ! lol. I imagine that he is still drop dead gorgeous today.

We can try until it is, in any way we can make it true (since love isn't just about a relationship between 2 ppl), and we will... especially as increasingly more people (should) join this struggle for common sense. @@SuperAllanjames Stupid comment. If you’re looking for an exact transcription of what they’re singing, it’s much closer to “coulda” than anything else. There’s no audible ‘f’ or ‘v’ (or any) consonant sound at the end of it. But that’s pointless, because no matter what, the word is “could’ve”-short for could have-and the meaning of the line is unchanged.

Roy Orbison lives inside these beautiful girls. They are older than they are and appear to be mediums between my soul 50 years ago and, today as we approach the end of something, they are the beginning of something very new and necessary in contemporary pop music....too sweet for today, laced with slow dances past and people passed . Fireworks that shot up into space and explode into our souls forever....this song is timeless.

This song really helped me with my mental health and how I found my perspectives of what I have struggled with and I love the chorus, and when it opens with 'Why do I do this to myself, every time I know the way it ends' and I think of it as in, why should I have to suffer with my own mental health issues, when I see or hear about someone else who is struggling as well, and I should be out helping them instead of being upset and frustrated with my own, and that's how I look at it when I listen to this song. I know lyrically it's about breaking up from a relationship, but it's how I look at this song and it's really helped with what I struggled with and I found the chorus relating to me with all that.

I heard you 2 by accident and fell in love with your voices and your sound. You were singing ‘ill be your Emmy Lou’. Bought 2 of your albums straight off from itunes! So strange as you sound American but you are Swedish? Thank you young ladies for making an old man very happy. I used to play guitar, keyboards and sing i had a small home studio and wrote and recorded a country album for my then fiancee. It was called “Highway to Your Heart” . My buddy in New York did the graphics for the CD cover, he passed from cancer some years back now. she was killed just before our wedding near Chicago in a car wreck. Then i discovered my Pc had a virus and I lost my whole albums MIDI tracks, all i had left were the lyrics I wrote, then they too got lost. Some of the tracks on my album were, the title track Highway To Your Heart, Going 75 on i75 and what I used to call her ‘Mustang Lady’ as she drove a Silver convertible Mustang, the car she was killed in 😪 one day we will be together again, incant play guitar any more as age has wrecked my hands but i play a little on the keyboards. She used to sing to songs I played you remind me of her she was blonde and beautiful. Thank you FAK. XX
