Once my little sis started to choke, we couldn't do anything other than hitting her back, her face went all blue and she almost stopped to choke, idk how she got it out and started to breathe again but holy fuck you don't wanna live with that memory learn this technique and hope to never need to use it

That very thing happened to me.. I was choking n my brother was there.. But i had watched this type of first aid video on FB... I couldn't even talk I then started showing my bother with body language push my abdomen n luckily I was saved.. I used to watch videos on utube n fortunately I once told my brother to do this when person is choking.. Luckily he understood my body language n did the same.... N my life was saved.. I was near to death.. Believe me friends choking is experiencing death..... N thnks to those who uploaded such videos...

I know i could be a life saver and that choking is very dangerous. Because of that when my brother was choking I was looking for an emergency first aid video. The first videos came with an intro which is really not helpful in times of emergency. My brother was saved only because luckily there was some trained personnel nearby.

Who else is watching this after a family member just choked and luckily survived! Me

In the UK we are told: 1. Ask them if they are choking. 2. Tell them to cough, if they can. 3. Get them to lean slightly forward and give them up to five hard slaps on the back, between the shoulder-blades. 4. Perform up to five abdominal thrusts as shown in this video. 5. Repeat 3 & 4 until the choking is past. 6. Call emergency services and perform CPR if the blockage can't be cleared.

lesson learned: chew your food properly or dont eat too fast and take your time when you eat the downside is you might finish eating for an hour but the good thing is you have a less chance of choking

One of my teachers son (aged 12) died by choking. Too bad, noone knew how to give first aid,they prob hit him in the chest and gave him water, nothing could be done. Ignorance is a bliss.
