In the past I’ve taken amazing pictures of my dogs .., but couldn’t post or share them because there was laundry or clutter in the background and it looked awful. My home is now a clean clear place and all pics of my dogs are shareable!!! 😊

I set up hooks and shoe cubbies right by the door where my kids come in from school. They will invariably walk right past this and drop their coats, shoes, and bags in random locations all over the house. 🤦‍♀️

I have a miscellaneous drawer because I don't have the space to have a separate drawer for each individual item. I'm not one of the 1%. It irritates the hell out of me that so many youtubers think that we all live in freaking big mansions with huge kitches.

If you know what goes there and why, then that's the important bit. She's talking about drawers that people just mindlessly stuff things in

Sorry I missed this one but it's so true! It's because our brains get used to familiar surroundings and Stop asking that acknowledging them as "worthy info to notice" :)

Mia, I found your channel on pinterest! As I'm thinking through the questions you discussed in the video, I kept wondering how I could purpose my living space. I move A LOT. Last year I moved 4 times and this year twice. Every new place has different built in storage solutions. I try to keep minimal stuff because of all the packing. But it's not financially wise to build a new storage system every time I move. Any tips?

Hi Celeste, it sounds like you're already on the right track with this. I used to move a LOT. There was a period of 3 years where I lived in 4 different states and even more cities! Traveling was so much fun and important to me as a person so I'm glad that you're getting to experience some of that. When it comes to frequently altering your structural space (i.e. changing homes)- I've found that the same vibes and level of support can is achieved just in the belongings you bring with you and what you do with them functionally- making sure that the things you need are in the most helpful and aesthetically pleasing spots. The storage is rarely the most important part. Ideally, most of the belongings you move with aren't held in storage anyway. Definitely wouldn't build a new storage system every time!

@@MiaDanielle Thanks for the reply! Glad to see someone who has moved intensively is now teaching minimalism and organization. I used to be bare bone minimalist. But I found out that I enjoy wearing colorful clothes, get bored with one winter coat, and need a lot more kitchen tools now that I'm cooking everyday. It's a constant self-discovery.

My issue if getting rid of stuff has more to do with the uncertain future. I am not convinced that I am allowed in supermarkets- shops etc without vaxx. Let alone hospitals doctors dental work. So I am holding on to everything thinking this is maybe what I own and have for the rest of my life. So maybe I should box stuff up and put in my garage to use years from now. What do you think? Thanks for the video xxx

I am in the same position. I’ve accumulated more over the pandemic and I’m loath to part with is because it’s too hard to shop without v-pass and my financial situation is also very tenuous.

Not to mention supply chain problems. My husband works for a company that makes municipal water treatment facilities. They can't get parts. Parts that used to take 3 or 4 days to get now take 6 months to a year. And the covid thing is real; I want to get a new couch, but they won't deliver it into the house because of covid restrictions! How am I, a 5'2" elderly woman, supposed to get a couch into my house?
