I really appreciate this video. When I was a kid, my dad had one of these, and I loved the way it sounded. Thanks for posting.

I clean and restore these stoves like the svea 123 and 123R along with the 8R and 111, 111B etc, and I found the safest way to get the spindle assembly off the tank is to take the bell off, fix in the corner of the bench vice with jaw protection and turn the tank slowly, try to tighten the tank just slightly before unscrewing it, that way you avoid rounding off the nut. just my opinion. P.S. sounds like the jet is a bit dirty, or it is starved of vapour. ATB Ray

Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the video! What alcohol for the warm up did you use, and what would you recommend for the burn? Much appreciated 👍🏼🍺

To prime I use Heat in the yellow bottle but denatured alcohol also works. For fuel I use Coleman fuel also called white gas or Naphtha

Mentholated spirits for priming
I made a pentagram key from a slightly over size allen key, I think from memory 3 sides of the allen key were a perfect fit and 5 minutes with a good file were all that were needed to make the other two sides fit, I don't think they are a perfect pentagram

It uses white gas also known as naphtha and Coleman fuel. Any sporting goods/camping store should have it.

For priming I use Yellow bottle “Heat” alcohol but any alcohol will work, denatured or meth. You can also use the stove fuel to prime but It creates a lot of soot. Alcohol burns clean.

And how much fuel is placed in the fuel tank, and how long does it burn at full refueling?
@planetsideagent

I'm not sure, I've never tested it.
I wonder if the fuel is leaking out of the nozzle. if you carry a primus in a backpack?

They seem pretty tight, you might get some leakage from large elevation gains. I'd wrap the stove and fuel bottle in a plastic bag (bread bag) if for no other reason to keep the gas smell from permeating your pack contents. If your pack has outside pockets I'd carry the stove and fuel there.
