Firing is not that dramatic inside but definitely spectacular from outside. I've spent years living inside of M270A1 (double barrel version) The M270A1's gunner's panel is located in the middle so I could do all the gunner things from the driver's seat. So we ran 2 men crew not 3 men (we were undermanned during the operation but the crews were experienced enough to run all positions)

I am curious if there are any nicknames for the gun crew positions, or slang used for their positions or for the rockets or other slang terms used in the MLRS artillery world. I like to learn the lingo used by soldiers in the field, whether humorous or fun or salty or "dark humor" slang etc. please let me know of any you heard. Thanks for your service.

the HIMARS and the MLRS M270 are my favorite rocket launch systems. Maybe the US or NATO can deploy this systems into Ukraine

when I wasin 15years ago, training rockets were 40k per rocket. live one's were 100k per rocket. when we had howitzers we could fire hundreds of rounds a year. when we switched to rockets we could only fire 12 rockets per year. budgets....

@@Artyom_K. Everyone understands that HIMARS is used to terrorize the civilian population of Donbass. Every day they post photos of rocket fragments from these rocket launchers next to the corpses of innocent people.

This is a weapon for the defense of democracy and freedom

you’ve inspired me to look into joining the air force and as of now thats the plan :) your videos have such a good level of humor and you are so educated on these topics its amazing thank you so much for your videos!

It's not resisting when 10,000 Ukrainians just landed in my country. Young men and women, many medically trained ran away instead of providing support. With many thousands more expected in the next 6 months. Good luck.

When he said "highly elite unit" on 3:20, the image of them made me chuckle. Amazing weapon, but look at those guys.

Look like USarmy is making videos like this in attempt to encourage more people to join the army. I would say they are actually doing a good job.

Never heard HIMARS Rocket Launchers before until the invasion of Ukraine.

My family used to have family reunions out at Fort Chafee. Funny seeing the actual military side instead of the quiet idleness I’m used to.

Difference between HIMARS and Russia ORHAN(Hurricane ) is that HIMARS error is about 1-2 meters. Meaning 1 rocket can kill its target, while the Russian counterpart is not accurate at all, so they need to spend a whole barrage to kill one target( if they hit ).

Got to see a HIMARS strike in Afghanistan. They put six rounds on a dime from 32km away. Put an end to a firefight that seemed to have no end.

@@teller1290 remove the $80B and you have a better estimate, it was about $7 billion left behind. If you didn't know that's less than 1% of our our military's budget and, leaving Afghanistan is something that we've wanted to do forever, but every president so far has failed to do, even Trump.

​@@farzana6676 It was Trump that signed the treaty with the Taliban to cut and run, and it was Trump who reduced the troops from 15,000 to less than 2500 when he left office over the objections and advice of his own military. Trump, as part of the deal, released 5000 Taliban soldiers from prison. By the time Biden was in office, the Taliban had a amassed 70,000 in the country and had overtaken most roads and installed checkpoints. They literally had most of the major cities encircled. The extended deadline to leave was fast approaching, and if the US wasn't going to leave, Biden would have had to surge 10s of thousands of troops into the country to deal with a Taliban assault. He did the only sensible thing, abide by the treaty agreement Trump signed and complete the pullout Trump had already begun. Now, most of this will fall flat, because Trump supporters apparently live in a bubble and don't actually look at what Trump actually did in office, unless Fox news is bragging about it. From the "Joint Declaration between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the United States of America for Bringing Peace to Afghanistan" available on state.gov. "Consistent with the joint assessment and determination between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the United States, its allies, and the Coalition will complete the withdrawal of their remaining forces from Afghanistan within 14 months following the announcement of this joint declaration and the U.S.-Taliban agreement, and will withdraw all their forces from remaining bases, subject to the Taliban’s fulfillment of its commitments under the U.S.-Taliban agreement." When Trump signed this deal, many policy analysts said it was a sweet giveaway to the Taliban because it contained no "trust but verify" and no enforcement mechanisms to make sure they kept up their side of the deal, and hence they violated it almost immediately. It was rushed, because Trump wanted to take credit for ending the Afghan war before he left office, and the clusterfsck that followed is not just Biden's fault, but BOTH of their faults.

Will admit having these guys there to do a video was pretty cool. They did learn that it is fast paced as a couple of them had to duck out of the road during a live fire movement😂 Good video though and it’s good to see a video that highlights the power possessed by America

@@roma4ka872 once global recession starts (2-5 months), oil (the good one) price goes below 60$ per barrel. Dirty one is cheaper and discounted by China and India will be delivered on loss. RasPutler ends and some war criminals will get what they deserve. It's disgusting to see support for war crimes.

@@Pifagorass Ну да, это ведь "русское" правительство одобрило военный налет на мирный митинг в Луганске, а потом прикрывалось тем, что там был военный штаб. Это ведь ФСБ, а не СБУ пытало людей в Мариупольском Аэропорту за то, что они имеют пророссийские взгляды. И это малый список военных преступлений Украины и её нацистких формирований до начала военной операции. Сколько это продолжалось бы?
