HoYo knows how to choose VAs. Especially for Firefly, I can relate the character to their VA illnesses (in EN and JP AFAIK). Never give up despite illnesses.

I have JIA and I've never met someone who also had it, or even see it being talked about EVER. I don't think I can describe quite what I feel seeing Analisa and Firefly exist. I've been basically cast aside so many times in my life due to this illness, it makes me feel so fucking happy seeing them thrive

I have my own problems and I know how a thing like that can ruin one's life entirely, hopefully it's not Fisher's case and I can't be happier about that. Any kind of illness feels exactly like that. Even if it's not physical. It feels like a race, and while you start even with everyone and seem to have a fighting chance at first; eventually you start slowing down and everyone starts passing you, and then you get lapped, and you realise you’ll never catch up again. No matter how hard you try you can't catch up to anyone, and it makes you think you're a failure. And that feels.. *terrifying.* Like you're running out of time. Life sucks sometimes, y'know. 😥

I have a lot of mental disorders, adhd, dmdd, autism, etc, and it definitely feels like that

During the quest i literally could feel the way the VA was kind holding back tears and it made the dialogue so emotional, good choice hoyo

This is a lot like me too but I have a muscle deterioration disease. I used to run I used to walk I used to play sports I love going outside I walked everywhere. everything was fun and everything made me happy but slowly over time I started becoming slower than other people to where I couldn't stand in line unless I was in the back of the line. I was late to all my classes I lost my balance a lot more I got tired a lot quicker to the point to where I couldn't walk but I still had strength to do with things on my own and over time it got harder and harder and now I can't walk I can barely move the only strength I have left is to feed myself and play games but even I am losing my ability to do that... I stopped walking at the age of 18 I'm 27 now and I can't do anything on my own not even get in or out of bed I can't even get food on my own I can't brush my teeth or shower on my own so I have people take care of me. I miss when I can walk and I miss when I could do things on my own but I lost it all and I know soon I may lose the ability to feed myself. I can't even live on my own anymore and it sucks. Muscular dystrophy Duchene is the disease name.

My heart goes out to you, genuinely. Someone very close to me has Becker Muscular Dystrophy and I've seen them face similar challenges. I'm hopeful that advancements in gene therapy will lead to a treatment to stop and eventually reverse the impact of muscular dystrophy, I just wish those medical advancements would happen faster.

I have the same illness as well. It gets harder each day, but I try my best to get through each day. For people like us, being able to wake up every single day alone is a miracle, a pretty impressive feat. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day or night where every you are! analesa's voice acting for firefly really hit me, i relate to them both because i also struggle with a chronic illness, fibromyalgia. analesa also uses they/them pronouns which made me really happy and represented to find out because i also use they/them! i hope analesa continues to live their life as happy as possible with their va work, even with JIA. they are really inspiring

THE MUSIC❤❤❤

Having played HSR in JP dub then watched some other KZreadrs played through it in EN, there is a moment in 2.2's main story where Sunday questioned Firefly about living in a dream without her ELS. I could feel maybe that scene along with Firefly's own answer have stirred something within both Tomoriru and Analesa. Finally, there's a specific clip regarding Analesa's issue without going through the whole interview again. And of course, everyone know Tomoriru's issues that has her giving up a role due to her no longer able to perform vigorously on stage.

It sucks to be diagnosed with any form of illness. It must be hard dealing with it constantly. I just pray for Analesa's good health and I just wish her happiness😢 Edit: I pray she recovers soon with JIA. God bless you always Analesa!

This whole thing made me realize English is definitely limiting sometimes. In my first language, we don't have he/she. Only neutral pronoun for third person. You'd have to go out of your way to extensively say 'That man/woman' in a sentence to risk getting anything wrong. Lol

From what I've seen out there on the net so far, only those two CN and KR doesn't seem to have anything said about them having such a syndrome

It sucks that the actual storyline and cutscene was written terribly because the VA deserved to have the story told with care. But they just slapped a sad anime song over the dialogue and called it a day.
