As a wildland guy crosstrained in structure defense in the wildland/residential interface, this is a boon for someone whose computer can't run the game itself but wanted to see what the game was about. It’s not uncommon it’s easier and faster to go in and search before a hand line especially if the first in truck is a dry ladder or a dry Rescue truck

I'm actually checking youtube because I too am playing this game and have no firefighting skills and I question when and if I should be opening windows and possibly even when and if I should open doors. They tell us in the tutorial to open or break windows and it seems to me that if I'm not worried about victims breathing (perhaps I've rescued all of them) that I wouldn't break out the windows because I would be feeding the fire with fresh oxygen. Wouldn't I not open or break windows to help snuff out the fire by not allowing it oxygen?

I'm no firefighter, but from what I can find, venting the fire lets out heat, gases, and smoke to make it safer inside for firefighters

at the five minute stamp, that's too itchy to watch. I don't know what your sop's are in the states but here in Germany, you'd NEVER walk past the fire the way you did right there 🙈 Edit: I just got to the part where you use the fire escape. We don't have exterior fire escapes the way you guys do. Nonetheless; not walking past the fire is one of the rules not to be broken in the interior attack, depending on where you do it, you might not even make it to the fire escape stairset.
