    I love that you share how you feel during a project. When I paint I go through such a range of emotion, mostly feeling like I have to make it perfect. Painting for others I think reinforces that. The board looks amazing! I appreciate all of your efforts in sharing what you go through.

    HP-C is an amazing airbrush, I have one for model/miniatures painting that has also sadly languished for years. I hunch over when I sit to model/paint and all the years of doing it have wrecked my back so I've stopped. And I'm far too familiar with "mask face". :) If it makes you feel any better fear wasn't a big problem for me when I was painting miniatures but lack of confidence ("my stuff sucks") and perfectionism ("my stuff isn't perfect so it sucks...maybe it will suck less after I spend 23094823904829048290438904890 more hours on it") was. So you aren't alone.

    So cool! If I may offer a suggestion... perhaps consider adding some brighter greens to your paint job on Fireball Island. It looks fantastic, but imho, it's missing the tropical feel. I don't know. It's just so cool, and I can't wait to see it all lit! You are amazing! I understand about the fear. For me, it's messing up and having to start from scratch, all the while burning through precious and limited materials. Also, what if it was actually better the first time around? Ugh! Lisa

    Thanks for watching!! I was going back and forth on color - I ended up going with the subdued greens. Those “on the side builds “like the french cleat holder for the airbrush (and some of the previous ones) deserve their own little short videos! Many DIY-tubers have content that’s less involved and interesting. May I say that the title is very specific and , to me, doesn’t well capture the broad and interesting content of the video? I’ve never heard of fireball island and am not into gaming, but into woodworking, diy , crafts, dioramas etc and it ticks all boxes. Yet if I hadn’t come across your Chanel, when researching slip casting a little while ago, i’d never have come across this video, despite it ticking so many of those boxes. I honestly think that splitting the longer (project within project) content and releasing shorter more specifically titled videos, that describe the awesome content better and perhaps more enthusiastically, may attract additional viewers, who’d then stick around for the rest. The content is equally appealing for people who like craft videos, as it is for diyers but the titles don’t really address or speak to either. “Glaze test -tiki technical tuesday “is also not a title that gives much information (without further context or previous knowledge of your channel) nor one that gets people clicking , it doesn’t do the complex yet fun content any justice. Not saying you should go more clickbait-y but as it stands the titles do not really reflect what’s actually on offer and there was content for at least two separate videos in here. It’s the only explanation I - as a viewer- have for the ridiculously low subscription figures.

  • @vantikistudio

    @vantikistudio

    2 жыл бұрын

    This feedback is fantastic!! Thank you so much for taking the time to go deep. I’m new to KZread (started this channel at the onset of the pandemic), and I’m still figuring things out. I have puzzled over naming and categorizing videos. The KZread categories are often a bit odd, and I want the titles to not read as click bait (like you mentioned). I try to hit most of the key words in the video description, but I know it all needs work. I also agree that splitting up the videos may be a good route - but there is always a time struggle to find moments to edit 😅 - as it is now I shoot when I can and let the footage pile up. When I get an open day in the studio schedule (usually a weekend 😒) I sit down and edit what I’ve got. As my subscribers increase (and the revenue increases) I’ll shoehorn in more time - but studio work currently takes priority. That being said, I’m proud of hitting 4K followers in a year 😄
