As a senior citizen, I was not sure about any of that and I didn’t know what all of the logos on the box were for, so for me you taking the time to be so detailed and specific was a huge help. I also did not know I could use my mobile phone with an app, so that was very informative. Good job! I tried all your advice on resetting my fire stick, nothing seemed to work, as other devices can interfere with its signal, I disconnected the fire stick moved the amazon power plug into another plug away from other plugs, I left the fire stick away from the TV while in bed, the next morning, your advice worked a treat, back up and running, thank you!

Comprehensive. Only one question. If you've finished using the Fire TV stick for a while (say you need the HMDI socket for something else, or you're going on vacation) how do you close it down? Is it simply a matter of unplugging the stick (or the mains plug), and if so, does it matter at what point you are in the menu/show hierarchy? Do you need to log off your profile? Do you have to consider the profile status (i.e. is it retained when turned off, having implications for kids turning the device back on)?

You can also Power It Up via the USB port on the TV if you have one

So I have to unplug everything. Because it's not connecting

Do I need go through all the steps if I set up on one tv and then unplug to use on another TV?

My brother is trying to set up his but when he reach the section that say volume down and he moves on it’s asking for IR profile code and won’t move on. It went this far to the volume up but after the volume down we are stuck. Where did we go wrong. Is he to volume up and down instead of volume down only?
