Fire trucks responding to a major fire in Leamington Spa
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Explosions emit from a building fire in Leamington Spa. Multiple fire trucks were filmed responding with siren, air horn and lights in Warwickshire, UK.
At approximately 10:30 on August 27, 2021, emergency services responded to a fire at Leeson Polyurethanes Ltd on Hermes Close in the Tachbrook Park area of Leamington Spa. Homes were evacuated and one person is still unaccounted for 2 weeks later as of September 9.
The fire caused a number of explosions and lead to a 100 metre cordon being put in place by Warwickshire Police as they provided assistance to Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service. A number of other agencies also assisted.
A press briefing by Superintendent Mike Smith of Warwickshire Police, and Assistant Chief Fire Officer Barnaby Briggs, took place at 17:50. You can see that briefing at 28:37 in the video.

Probably a fault that the crew were not aware of, Blues should be flashing whilst driving and much much brighter than that. The Reds are activated by the handbrake being applied, there isn't a switch in the Cab.
I just dont know what to say. I was more concerned about the fire itself, the smoke, and from the press briefing, the missing person. If he/she is unaccounted for, you know what that means, i hope i am wrong. These guys put their lives on the line every single day, god bless them. Always tell your loved ones you love them, because you never know what can happen in this world.
I never knew about this incident until I saw this. Glad I watched it until the end. Thanks for the details and for the upload!
can not wait to watch all of it !
This makes me think of TBA Incorporated based in Louisville, Kentucky because the warehouse caught fire at 4:30 pm on August 12, 1994 which happens to have been a Saturday, the fire lasted into early Sunday morning and there were multiple fire departments and Emergency Medical Service Personnel on the scene and at various locations throughout, I will say this, if a fire ever breaks out that was as bad as the 1 I’m talking about it will be really bad.
Nice catch great job explaining all the various details 👍

Cannot believe it’s 2 years since this fire at my home town. Was at work and seen the WNAA flying passed and seen which direction it went and saw the smoke. I was shocked and well I wouldn’t sware on this. Feel sorry for the gentleman who lost his life after the clear up who was missing. Well done to all involved in Warwickshire police West Midlands ambulance service and especially both Warwickshire and all those who came to aid in all corners of counties of the fire department.

Do you have some sort of "network" of, what we call in the States, fire buffs who communicate around the country to notify each other when you see breaking incidents such as this significant fire? I couldn't imagine being unable to hear the fire departments here in the US, and I can't imagine the frustration there. Some insight would be welcomed. Thanks.

W we hen did the UK stop useing duel tone horns.
@scooby1992
3 ай бұрын
They started to phase out two tones and phase in yelp and wail sirens about the mid 1990s . I worked on F Registration Ford Transit Ambulances ( with bodies by Mountain Range ) at around that time and these had both sirens and old fashioned air horns . I often used both at the same time as I was young and keen , much to the annoyance of some of my older colleagues ! Ambulances a year older ( E Reg ) and before had two tones mostly .
Are you sure your not the one starting the fires, you always know where they are and when to film 😂

It is a massive service as you know and a result of the merger of thee previous 8 services so I guess they are pretty self sufficient , but if it was near the English border I would think Cumbria and Northumberland would help . I know Strathclyde and Cumbria assisted Dumfries and Galloway at Lockerbie .

In the UK when a major fire incident is declared, the Fire Service are in charge and they will coordinate/call in the equipment required. Depending on the incident, a remote command centre will be established (Gold & Silver Command) - normally (within 30 mins) if person/or persons are declared missing then, the Police take control of the incident (treated as a potential crime scene).

For my fictional fire station based outside London, the fire vehicles would only use whelen woodway commander 3, haztec, sterling automotive met-sound and the smaller fire chef cars using redtronic EM5000 sirens since they're my favourite sirens and the only ones that sound the best No air-compressed two-toned sirens allowed either
