Once you get the timing down, it’s a fun game and I love that you can use the NJPW wrestlers

I'm a long time fan of this game since the Japanese version on Sega Saturn in the late 90's

I bought it when it came out because I enjoyed Returns on the PS2 I just recently picked it back up after wanting a more stable and creator friendly wrestling game in this 2K23, Fight Forever era

Most people are graphic freaks and they think WWE looks more impressive from cutscenes and stuff like that but this is for a true wrestling fan

Rize Before Dawn mmmm have both games and 2k’s content and mechanics alone out due fire pro in quantity let alone performance. I like both games but fire pro is not nearly as in-depth.

Graphic freak or not, Fire Pro has a charming Retro style. WWE games however look like late PS2 games through a HD filter. The characters and lighting are atrocious considering what they charge every year.

Dawn United everyone 30yrs old and up will enjoy it. Its a throwback to what we used to play as kids. Extremely fun compared to those horrible 2k simulation games.

I like how Tonga Loa screams “eat Shit” when he performs his finisher

I Love Fire Pro. I love creating my own Wrestling league, There are negatives like no royal rumble and navigating via your created wrestlers (breaking your roster into teams is crucial to find your wrestlers and avoid making mistakes) But it does not ruin the fun.

Of course you can play rumble matches, even the biggest of all existing games with unlimited amount of wrestlers. Carlzilla's Mod Suite, which makes it possible, is out for over 5 years. It's your fault if you ignore the mods, workshop content and so on.

Wow, I have that game on GBA. I remember the game being really hard to master the controls so I was spending hours creating a wrestler and configuring his AI and then watching him fight another one. I loved every second of it! The the animations are exactly the same, just the graphics were way scaled down.

definitely one of the best pure wrestling games to come out in a very long time. gameplay and customization options are fantastic. Once you learn how to adjust the cpu logic, the game completely opens up to you. that's truly where fire pro games shine.

You took his gimmick lol Anyway I got Fire Pro at launch and for me best wrestling game since WWE 2k14. Yea the combat system has a learning curve for new players, but fun once you get used to it. The story from what I played is full of charm and compelling with snippets of history for people that want to learn more about the wrestlers. I actually prefer there menu system over 2k's tbh. Can't wait for promotion mode and for the extra wrestlers to be released for the preorder. 4.5 out 5 stars.

@@BowerBomB support... But online doesn't work.... It barely works on PC. I own it. Im js 2k18 still plays online.... Fpww worked for 3 days online. Updated and now broken.... Still broken over month and half. I'll be waiting maybe in 12 months it will work?

I'm waiting for it to Download now. There was a distinct Lack of Wrasslin' on this console. Got 10 minutes left. Gonna figure out a way to do a DDT off a Top-Rope somehow. Get a Chair, throw sand at the Ref.

I would say the 2K series for sports-entertainment, Fire Pro for wrestling. And yes, the distinction will become deeply apparent when you play Fire Pro.

This video gets a brown down for not featuring Simon.

We love, love, love Fire Pro Wrestling. Definitely a 4/5 Star game. It focuses on wrestling rather than sports entertainment, the way a wrestling game should be played. Definitely not for everyone. Cheers!

I agree with a few more modes but menu systems fine for me, my only gripe is hit detection is abit hard at times, this is the only game I really play regularly, also watching cpu vs cpu matches is alot of fun to

Chris it went down significantly. Got it a few weeks ago on ps4 for 15$ and it’s miles ahead of the most recent wwe release which costs 4 times as much

I would expect Jules to review this since he does run the gaming channel.

Looking back I like the early 2K series. However over the years the game lost its edge. Its like the developers focus on designs and graphics. In doing so they lost over time the game suffered. Fire Pro never looked as good in the graphics the game play in my opinion incredible. Result Fire Pro does it better. Again that is my personal opinion.

I need help. I encounter this off lineoff lineoff line glitch a few months ago so i reset my computer and deleted my game data, then I am able to click on transfer wrestler but it won't let click on the faction

I have a fire pro game for SNES and im thinking of buying the GBA version and this at some point

I own Fire Pro Returns for the PS2...and I own Fire Pro World on PS4. It is amazing! It's nice to play a WRESTLING game.

I love the Fire Pro series and World is the culmination of years and years of experience. I have sink more than 100 hrs overall and haven't even touch the other modes, had spent more time customizing and playing dream matches. It's not for everyone but if you come across this game give it a chance.

I'm also new to the series and can relate to the learning curve. What I miss is some more tutorial about the controls. You learn grappling and just after that "win by pinfall", "win by submission". Like there's something missing in between. Otherwise, like you said, lots of charisma especially from the NJPW part.

Yes it has NJPW WRESTLERS in it and a few made up wrestlers. You are buying this game for the edits. The game is fun. Just outdated to me and the novelty runs out after a while. I thought i would be playing this for a while but wwe 2k19's gameplay and modes and just everything out does everything firepro does. Normally I would get bored with 2k games and sit it down, but this years version is a gem. All i can say is try both games and you will see what I am saying. No other wrestling game to this date plays like wwe 2k19.

This game has come ALONG way since this review dropped. Tons more customization and if you’re on PC the mods! Oh god the mods!! Love this game so much I made a whole damn channel just for running my own league.

This is the only game in jealous of pc players after spending a week sorting out my roster ya da yada I can only get 6 months into promotion before it bluescreens I know it's an issue with the caws but on PS4 you have to uninstall individually and I have 1400 people...no.

My best advice with this game it didn’t take me long to master the game once I figured this out you basically want to in put your move when they lockup and they stomp, once they stomp quickly input the move. I have really good back and forth matches on level 6 and the game speed at 125

I bought the game. I am really enjoying the game so far but it took me a little to learn the controls because this was my first time playing any of the fire pro wrestling games. 2k’s wrestling game is better graphically but I did not mind that when playing fire pro wrestling world. 😀👍

No I bet the bad part is the AI is extremely slow when you're online

For new Fire Pro fans.... You have to drop another 50 bucks for the MEAT of the game.

There's an MMA style match, and if you download MMA fighters with proper CPU logic, you can have VERY MMA esque matches. Fire Pro Returns, the game before this in the series, Actually had a sizeable chunk of MMA Fighters from Pancrese (I think that's how it's spelled) so the series is very MMA friendly.

It's deflated Miller!

This game needs a Universe Mode badly!

In my opinion, I love the 2k series just everything after 2k19 is terrible, and during 2016 was when i first started fire pro, and i prefer 2K12 - 2K19 and Fire Pro for both their creativity and Match scaling.

@@crunchypunchfn7880 that'd take away a sizeable amount of charm that the Fire Pro Series has had for decades. In that it''s very minimalist. I mean, you have a point with the entire Arena creation stuff, as the point of the game is to make your own fun. The developers give you the sandbox, and we as gamers construct. But at the same time, I feel that offering that level of creation can get in the way of it's minimalistic aura. Hell, I'm not a fan of the entrance crafting DLC that was released recently either lol

If the two companies ever worked together and got to make use out of each other's resources it'd be a perfect wrestling game for all. But at least until Vinny Mac croaks there's no chance of that happening lol

By far, this is the one game that makes me feel bad that console exclusives are a thing. The thing seems almost built for me, and... I don't have the right platform to play it on.

If only I could afford a PC that can handle games, I'd've gone to PC gaming a while ago. The more consoles become like mini PCs, the less point there is to them existing at all... and they're all going in that direction, these days. All they really have left is the price point and the exclusives. Once the price point strains the market too much, they'll start losing out on the customers, and then the exclusives, and then there probably won't be any consoles any more.

Fire pro world is a fun game, but this year wwe 2k19 did something to their game that knocked it out the park. It is by far the best wwe 2k game in the series. I have literally put down fire pro and cannot stop playing wwe 2k19. Way better than wwe 2k18.

@@productand1 yup the biggest selling point is that fire pro wrestling world can simulate realistic matches and it's matches were technical but actually wwe games even do that better you can have a technical match for which they have added a entire chain wrestling system which doesn't exist in fire pro wrestling world and you can also have brawls which are non existent in fire pro every time you have to do the lockup before a strike that's not realistic at all even though there is a limit to how many characters you can customize atleast they look what they are suppose to if you download them from community creations there are great caw makers for that on the other hand I couldn't even recognise half of the in game roster of fire pro without reading their name

Some people love it for the simulation alone. I've recently got into cpu logic on my CAWs and it's just ridiculous. I can put my heels vs my babyfaces and have it paced perfectly from what you would expect irl.... I love it.

Carlos Valentin I’m guessing the reason nobody has done is due to copy right laws.

I played it on the pc with NJPW DLC. I even know a cheat code for that version of the game.

I think using words like "AAA polish" shouldn't be factored for WWE 2K games either. They're using outdated technology, always looked and played off, and have for well over a decade. Also don't recall the menus being that great in the recent WWE games.
