On May 26, 2022, a major fire occurred on the #Carnival #Freedom liner while it was docked in the port of #Grand Turks in the #Turks and #Caicos Islands. Emergency response teams quickly extinguished the fire, which sent black smoke billowing into the sky. Part of the crater on the starboard side suffered significant damage, and guests and crew members were allowed to go ashore as originally planned.
