Rather than black screen, we had the lock screen but totally unresponsive to touch. Tried all the tapping, slapping etc and nothing would work. But the freezer did the trick!!!! Must admit, I was highly dubious but I should have had more faith. Worked first time, straight out of the freezer! Thanks so much!! 'Have you tried putting it in the freezer?' is the new 'Have you tried turning it off and on again?'

I just got the 10 for my sons birthday. Only had it for a week and it suddenly wouldn’t turn on yesterday. All day today it would not turn on even though I knew the battery was close to fully charged before it stopped working the day prior. Two minutes into your video following along with you BAM it turned on!!!! Thank you so much and fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again.

My son threw his tablet and got the black screen. Hard tapping everywhere did the trick. At first it flickered, then stayed on when I hard tapped the lower portion of the screen opposite of the volume/power buttons. Thank you so much

My son’s tablet would not do anything when the charger was plugged in. No ding, no low battery signal, nothing. Holding power button for 15 seconds & then 3 seconds did the trick! Thank you so much, my wife was ready to buy my son a brand new tablet!

The guy said hold the botton down for 20 second if that doesn’t work it just doesn’t work it’s done your son is not going to play anymore games he might hate the Amazon tables now🤣🤣🤣

My son broke his Amazon fire screen. Then replaced the broken screen. Then, the tablet wouldn't stay fully on. The Amazon logo would appear. When the Fire logo appeared, the tablet would shut off. So I did the "hold the power button for 15 seconds then hold it for 3 seconds" The tablet works now. Thank you so much

Trying freezer method for the second time and hoping it works. We barely use this thing and it's charged and it just won't turn on. Even if this doesn't work, it felt good to hit it.

I moved it too a different outlet and still nothing. I think used a completely different charger and cable and still nothing! You said hold it for 15 second and it didn’t do anything.
