    WinAmp Man that takes me back. I put my built 400 Pontiac up to 6,500ish on the factory rods (ARP prob saved me) and my TH475 TCI vomited trans fluid, this was years ago, thought it was something serious, know you know why SUMMIT and JEGS sell that vent tube catch can for autos.✔

    @sloppy mechanics Hey mate, love your channel, I have a stock ls1, I am planning on doing a rear mount turbo setup like what you have in the truck, I was thinking of going a single T76 on 8psi of boost, I am capable of doing all the engine and fab work myself, I was going to take the oil pan off, tig an oil return into the pan, replace big end bearings and set clearances @.002-.0025", replace rod bolts with arp 2000 series bolts, and replace harmonic balancer with an aftermarket item I have sitting around, Would the stock ls1, with an extra bosh 44 pump, injector decap, and the t76 be ideal and hold together as a reliable daily @8psi? I would be happy if it made 450hp at the tyres, Or would a twin gt35 setup be better/more suitable?

    Question : When you tune a flex fuel vehicle: You create a map for gas,and one for E85 ,then the ecu adjust fuel and spark values relative to the spectrum of fuel blending ,by using %,and interpolation, or you need to do something else ?

  • @SloppyMechanics

    @SloppyMechanics

    5 жыл бұрын

    The ecu will add fuel and spark based off ethanol content, if they bring the car on strait ethanol I tune it on that and make a judgement call for what will be safe of strait pump, or they bring it on pump and I tune it safe then we pour in ethanol and I use the ethanol spark added table if applicable and tune it for e85 also it’s hard to answer depends on capability of the ecu and combo etc, we do what we can with what we’ve got

    Dear Mr. Sloppy! LOL I am building a TBI Chevy 350 in a 1994 gmc C-2500. LS is next! I have a GT45 turbo with 3" air to air, bov, what, and a blow threw hat on the TBI. Yes I said TBI! In theory my plan should work I am using a separate injector driver with two 1000cc screw in injectors screwed to the top of the blow through hat and the controller is from Split Second it has a map sensor built-in and a signal clamp for the other map which I replaced with a 2 bar sensor and have a wideband to keep an eye on it. The injector controller has software to tune the driver. My question is can I make some HP without blowing it up with the TBI on it? Oh and I have blown $2600 on all the parts and am at the end of the stack of money and need help to get it running. I will send an email to you with more specs.
