Twin Turbo S10 First Fire Up

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Well it's finally here, the S10 runs! The engine is finally together so I decided to try and get it to idle and make sure it has oil pressure/fuel pressure/ other stuff. In the video I give all the details on the truck, if you want to skip to it running, go to the last 3 or 4 minutes of the video.
Details on the truck:
1983 Square body S10, gutted with an 8.50 cage and a 4-link and coil over back half. Shortened ford 9 axle. 6.0 LS, stock lq4 bottom end, ls3 heads, brian tooley stage 3 twin turbo cam, twin borg warner S366 turbos, twin air to water intercoolers, tial V60 wastegates and a bunch of other junk I'm probably forgetting.

Condensation is just from start stop short run times.....I just went through this myself. Get it all squared away to run and drive for 30 mins or so cos if you keep doing the start stop thing with the learn on it will get bad data and screw you up, the Holley base timing table in the wizard is also terrifying so scale and square that tune away first thing before running it up or you will be chasing your tail to have it fixed up later if that makes sense. Aaron from green shorts performance helped me big time.

Try ebay, try DNA, anywhere from $30 plus. Just remember that even though they advertise it for the intended boost your trying to make, but in truth the spring pressure is relevant to the amount of vacuum your engine makes. So you may need to possibly change the spring if it opens too fast or too slow.

Question I’m doing a twin turbo LS3 and I’ve seen most twins running the exhaust out of the hood or on the side with a hole 🕳 in the side of the fender. I want to run mine out the rear is there a reason besides not dealing with the extra piping to get it out? Or does it provide additional power? Sorry if it’s a stupid question but gotta ask
