Fire Department POV Response #19
Responding to station for an active truck fire. Enjoy the commentary from my lovely girl friend haha. The white truck was a command officer from the mutual aid department. Idk if he was tired of my bright HIDs or my 200 watts of noise but he fell in behind me after i passed. Missed the rescue by 1 minute. I noticed it getting on while i was getting off

usually they are set up automatically that way. my friend is a fire chief and all his vehicles have the same default at startup. the only way to change it is pressing a button, but most don't care till they get to the scene. The most important part of the lights are the front.
Lol I love how she ball busted you about not using the rumbler. She's 1 of a million man shes a keeper, all of my buddies wives and girlfriends think the sirens are annoying.

Depends on the state. Some states only LE get blue lights and fire MUST use red. Other states Vols get no lights or sirens at all.

Goth-Vlogs consider yourself lucky. At my volunteer department in Shepherdstown, WV NO ONE is allowed to have lights or siren in their car. Not even a chief, but they can still respond from home to calls without siren/lights. Same for other fire officers. Best I can do is orange construction visor lights😂

Great response videos is nice to see from different states. I'm in Pennsylvania we can only run blue lights, "courtesy light " with 4 way flashers on, most people wont move over but it helps. My dept does not permitt use of any interior warning, lighting only exterior 1 rotating and 2 flashing lts, or one roof mount led light bar, no other lights show be used on vehicles. State police hassled One of our neighboring borough's about vehicles codes regulations of warning lights, for that matter they dont allow use of any warning lights unless your an officer in the dept.
Yeah u forgot the rumbler! comeon bro
You forgot the rumbler! Come on man, well shoot at least you didn't forget to turn your lights on. We had somebody here in South Carolina that was responding to their station they flew by me sirens on but no lights LOL and it was 1130 at night. Besides how much did that rumbler cost?

@@NINJUNK00 yes we allow sirens in SC
I am a retired Firefighter and EMT. I was a station Capt. In South Georgia and we used our POVS AS WELL. We were allowed 10 miles over the posted speed limit and I had a Code 3 Dash Laser with a multi Reflector with a red and clear alternating light in the rear with a Federal Siren. The combo worked very well for me most of the time but everyone non and then is going to run into an idiot on the road. I always let them show everyone else just how STUPID THEY REALLY WERE! Especially if Americus City Police saw it or a deputy with Sumter SO….LoL State Trooper John Hood , I asked him to take all of us through driving school for emergency vehicles and he did. Once everyone completed the class and passed his course he told us that if he caught breaking one rule he was not going to have mercy on that person….and he was not joking!! We never had any problems from any of the guys. Things were much simpler then than now. I am still involved with the emergency services but not full time. Most Fire departs here have a full time staff along with volunteers as well. I still help direct traffic when I am first on scene meaning I came up on the accident before any help was summoned. I keep my TECC certification up to date. I get a lot of compliments from law enforcement and emergency personnel due to the fact that I have the area cleared and ready for them when they get there as long as there are no real serious injuries. I keep the graffiti moving unless it will interfere with evidence then I block one side with my vehicle ( Amber and Clear lights ) and use a red and blue traffic wand to keep the other side in place. I had 26 years in when I stepped down in 2006 due to a wound I received serving in the Marine Corps. My last two years was a struggle due to chronic pain that started due to my injury. My Navy doctors told me it might happen and it did otherwise I would have served longer. I enjoy these videos because they bring back memories for me. I have to say there is much truth in a lot of these comments! If I were to give any advise to any of you it would be this: OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS…Constantly watch the other drivers as closely as you can while looking STRAIGHT ahead! Use the common sense the Hood Lord has given you and you should be ok! There is always someone trying to make a way to sue someone for something and LAWYERS LOVE IT!!! Don’t fall into one of their traps!!
Gosh I love that siren usage
I love the rumbler we have an EMS supervisor that has the light bar and a really noticeable rumbler when he passed through the stoplight he would activate it and I was happy like a kid in a candy store
Hands down my favorite video
