Fire Alarms go off at Church

The alarms were activated in the early morning by a dusty air duct, activating a duct detector (smoke detector in the air duct). False activations like these are common in the fall as buildings turn on heating systems for the first time in a while allowing a buildup of dust to release. The fire department automatically responded and cleared the building as safe to reenter after investigating. Thank you for watching!

This happened at a Great Wolf Lodge I was staying at back in 2016. Woke up around 8 in the morning to the fire alarms going off (could hear the thing in my dreams lol). The alarms were all EST Genesis devices (the indoor water park had EST Integrities). The hotel rooms themselves had Genesis remote strobes and a sounder base on the detector. Was about to evacuate till I heard an announcement over the PA system that it was a false alarm. Found out later by talking to some staff that a duct detector got dirty and set off the system. Pretty interesting experience for me!

@@siphonralarms9411 nice I have the same exact system at my school but they were the ceiling ones and outside world red and inside White and in the gym they had integrity's in Genesis is as well
My church was never required to have fire alarms (its grandfathered in), but we do have first alert sco500. The one in the gym would cause false alarms when it got dusty

My church has old Wheelock 7000 something alarms, but I swear there's like 5 alarms in the entire building and 3 pull stations. Most areas of the building don't even have alarms

The fire alarm system in my church is Simplex t bar pull stations and Wheelock MT’S on continuous and a est genesis and a est 270 SPO PULL STATION.

Those do seem loud for a church at my grandpa's bank before he passed they used to have those same exact ones in white but no outside alarms
I have a recommendation. In one of your upcoming system tests, why don't you do 2 low frequency sounders. ( I'm thinking the EST Low frequency sounder and the System Sensor Low-frequency Sounder. ) Also, if you like this idea, I don't care which system you do it on. I think this would make a really cool system test video! Also, I really enjoyed system test 8 with the MS- 9200UDLS.

Hey, @S.E.R Safety can you do more Fire -Lite Voice Evac System Test?
My church has voice evaluation. The church moved locations and the old location had wheelock 7002t fire alarms
the church i go to originally had siemens voice evac, but there are horn/strobes in the expansions
My school has had some exact system but in the gym and the outside but the rest of the school is voice evacuation
I always wondered what would happen if a fire alarm went off during worship or a sermon.
Seems super loud and very bright! Are those System Sensor SpectRalert Advances or L-Series?

Unfortunately no sometimes they can be set off by rats and mouse chewing through wires.
And can you do another system test with you that ADT unimog 10UD fire alarm control panel

It depends on the local fire marshal wether its a supervisorsy or full alarm

@Teslamehi Normally in Canada it's required since 2003 that they use blue strobes to indicate panel, annunciator, or zone annunciation location with also the entrance to the building of where that alarm occurred

@@FireTech7 coincidentally the piezo of the SK-6700 sounds almost the same as the Mircom SH24C-3075110W horn strobes because they're set on code-3 Electromechanical horn like they're always are and you can hear a beating sound because the pitch of the Silent Knight piezo is almost the same as the Mircom horn strobes
