What is a fire alarm panel transponder?

The panel transponder is the device that sends a radio signal to the monitoring company rather than having to rely on a hard phone line. The easy way to identify it is by locating the antenna.

@@nutmegmike4627 I believe there are multiple different names used for this device. The Chief is using the office term.
