The best singer-songwriter who'll exist simultaneously to mine. Her beauty distracted people, like a magician would, from *just how talented she is* . Genius! -- VS Ramachandran lectured of *low* genetic trimming in the fusiform gyrus - making her metaphors and similes the antithesis of cliche. Adds to that _talent_ the insight of a psychoanalyst who's engaged in 20 years meditating in a cave to achieve her level of introspection. Adulation or hyperbole describing her talents may not be possible. Her endowments have collectively brought me -- and from the kinds of cheers you hear in small venues -- _so many_ *such* joy. _My_ words can't express _my_ gratitude for what she's given me. How many past concerts I've attended would I exchange for having seen her instead. As good as her recordings are,, Fiona is better live than recorded. Charming. Modest. Grateful. Gratitude which's _sincere_ ! not a _stage act_ to endear herself to patrons -- but gratitude for the love she receives. She was 18 when I started listening to her at 23 -- 19 or 20 when she won an MTV award... People spoke harshly of her "maturity". How could they know what it was like to feel the way she does, to be smart enough to articulate it as she does... These people *FORGOT* what idiots they were like under 21. And that's without the money with which to run your life off the "proverbial rails" My mistake was taking a co-worker for the sake of introducing her to Fiona's epic status... instead of a friend who shared my love for her... from which to create a memory.

I think they meant as no longer in terms of out there, fame wise. Real artists are so rare and have to be hunted for because we no longer provide a platform for them for the most part. It seems as though art is dying and so we're killing artists subconsciously. Which they're right. I can only name a dozen at most SEMI famous artists.

I love Jack's version. To the others it is a request, with Jack it was a guttural plea!

Fiona can do 'Jolene' better without the backup. I noticed the backup singers fucked up the tone.

i personally think they do a good job, and without them it mightve been more "bare" so adding them was a nice touch. we can just appreciate that this cover exists huh ;D

Why is Miley Cyrus thrown into this list of Fiona vids? Talk about pushing pop on the public! Also, why with a worldwide audience that YT has Fiona has to settle for less than 22 million for her biggest hit and Miley gets 129 Mill for some Backyard song? I dont get it! Even for an artist 20 years into her career!

uh because Miley has also covered this song as part of her Backyard Sessions. You don't know what you're talking about if you haven't seen that performance.

They use algorithms and numbers to create music that will appeal to the masses, that is why most pop music sounds similiar. Also their is not many writers within the mainstream music scene, as well producer interference all leading to court cases about infringement failing due to the aforementioned similarities

her talent is unquestionable. Her ability to relate to this song is obviously nill. she was never threatened by another woman. she never begged someone for her lover. she never humbled herself before a competitor. she has no business singing this song. I love her tho
