@@Vahisofficial Heard some Maktens spira myself as well! Plus Jaktens tid/Skogens hämnd, obviously. The songwriting here is something that would've been slightly out of place on either of those albums, though. So it's nice it's not merely a blast from the past!

Giving me an 'Ur Jordens Djup' vibe in the beginning and kinda mixes the newer and older style super well! I'm pumped for the album!!

Like dark beer, Finntroll holds a special place in my heart. This track proves why.

The main vocals are definitely Mathias throughout, but those backing vocals sure sound like Katla. Wouldn't be surprised if he pops up in other tracks as well.

@@bay4gaming158 I'm sorry to say it, but between Katla and Mathias there is an abyss of difference and only a deaf would not realize it. As much as Mathias has tried, he has never managed to have the same primordial anger and aggression that characterizes Katla's vocal timbre, in fact the albums following "Jaktens Tid" sound very different and Finntroll have never been those of the early days (sadly). Having said that at 1:37 to 1:57 is definitely Katla's voice, there is no doubt.

Especially fell in love with the melody in this piece. Good ol Finntroll, never stop creating.

First Ensiferum releases an album that goes back towards their old school sound, and now Finntroll seems to be doing that too? :D Is the entire Folk Metal Big 5 on a mission to bring back the early 2000's? If so, I'm all for it!

@@DarthGrimby I hate the new Alestorm. A few bands in there for me to youtube tho. Still, nothing can top Helvetios by Eluveitie. That album is bloody perfect! Velua by Heidevolk is good too!

Finaaaaally my favorite fucking band is back again!!!! Seven years and still have not dessapointed me. I feel in here some influences from their previus albums, especially from Jaktens Tid, even though Mathias Lillmans had not with Fintroll at that moment. But anyway, I really liked How humppa is present in here, combined With Mathias Lillmans' dry voice. It voice reminded me of Ur Jordens Djup, which is my favorite álbum. I feel energy, and I cannot wait listening to the whole album!!! Im really proud of them

Seven years later they still got it!

Can't wait for it. Sounds so much like Nattfödd which is easily Finntroll's best record to date. We won't be disappointed!!

I have to say, Finntroll is the only band out there that has never disappointed me even once, just by virtue of sticking to the formula. This track is fantastic, and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album. The production doesn't sound quite as nice as the previous couple of albums, but I suppose that conditions were sub-optimal with all the pandemic stuff going on.

im surprised. i hate to say it, but i came into this not expecting much because so many bands seem to get shitty after one album, maybe two in some cases, but this is good. been big Finntroll fan for years and it makes me happy to hear that you guys are STILL bringing good stuff to the table for us to listen to.

I thought Katla left because he could't do vocals anymore (medical issue if I recall)? Now all they need is Jonne Jarvela to make an appearance as well!

@@WyrdWaysRockShow I understood, thanks. it's a shame though, I consider Wilska better than Vreth, in fact the first three albums are unbeatable (with Katla and Wilska on vocals). After Nattfodd, in my opinion, they got worse. This new album, however, seems very promising: they have resumed the sounds of their early days. I'm excited!
