    Actually this TV host pronounced that "Me tulemme takaisin." perfectly (well small accent can be heard but still) but like x2 speed at 0:54

    Joulupukki was the predecessor of Santa Claus. A guy wore a goat mask, got drunk and went from door to door scaring kids (18th-19th C). That one sure changed a bit over the years. Wish we still did that...

    There are thousands of lakes filled with cold water in Finland. So that's why it's small. Normally it'd be, like, totally big.

    Apua kun haastattelijan kädet tulee lähelle Ismoa. Ei toimis suomalaisessa televisiossa, että toinen tunkee toisen yksityiselle alueelle.

    I've seen here and in other places and comments later that words like "lentokonesuihkuturbiinimoottoriapumekaanikkoaliupseerioppilas" would be long Finnish words. They are not, it's just a composite of several words like "airplane jet engine motor help mechanic...." etc. The long and complex words in Finnish are similar to they, them, their, themselves etc. the Y, M, IR, MSELVES are not words, they are just ways to change the words to different possesives and persons.

    The y in they is no ending - they is a whole word. The ending parts are -m, -r, -m+selve-s. In their, the /i/ is a variant of the /y/ in they. And the endings change words to different cases (possssive case is genitive), and they do change words to different persons: personal suffixes (possessive suffixes), if they are nouns or adjectives - but personal suffixes for verbs (causing personal conjugation) are different, except for 1st pl (first person plural).

    Why does she sound all the time like they are playing Alias or some other word explaining games and time is running out?

  • @timomastosalo

    @timomastosalo

    They ARE explaining words. So she maybe does get that rhythm from such Alias moments. We people to go to certain mode we have adopted from our pfrevious experiences. We have like 'game rules' in our head for behaviour in special social interaction situations: work interview, principal's office, wedding, funeral, beach life, sports arena behaviour... etc.
