This sounds like a brilliant young man with an old soul, warning himself to stay wise. And taking us on a magical musical journey while doing so. Love it.

OK so I don't have very many friends who listen to FINNEAS so i'm kind of alone in my thoughts about the album. But what seems to be an unpopular opinion is that this song is the best song on the album. Hearing it live just now was something I didn't know I needed. The way he manages to capture the emotion... the pain from the COVID era is unlike anything else any other artist has put out. This song came out when I was going through a hard time. My family was all getting COVID, and some of them had it so bad we thought we might have to take them to the hospital. Then I got COVID, and while I wasn't losing my life this song helped me through quarantining in so many ways. It reminded me that there was something good out there and helped me think of the good times. It helped me remember after going through COVID that I should make the most of every situation, and I was still going through a hard time so that was something I really needed. And hearing it now at the end of a long day, it brings me back to center. It makes my heart swell. It brings me right back to all this pain, but also helps me remember and reflect on the times i've laughed so hard I start to cry, or the times I worry about my parents. I can't describe in words how much this song and album have helped me since their release, but that's my try. Thank you FINNEAS. ❤️❤️

I agree. I wish my friends would listen to him so that we may compare which songs speak to us the most. I think anyone who has lived can find at least a couple of FINNEAS songs that invoke something heartfelt. For me, I feel like each song brings me back to an experience. It's like an emotional wave. I don't know if this is my favorite song of his but I'm still here listening to it because, like you, this reminds me of the important things and the bygone moments that we never thought were gold but actually were golden. It feels nostalgic. As for the COVID thing, I wish you the best and I hope you and your family are all recovered.

Not ashamed to admit I frequently weep listening to Finneas. 🥺 Is there another artist who has so effectively captured the emotional pain of the COVID era? Nope.
