I'm so sorry. Losing a fur baby is sooooo difficult. I've lost a fur baby from kidney failure, cancer and internal bleeding (from taking Rimadyl which is a pain killer). I miss them so much.

I’m so sorry for your loss of your doggie. We know how hard it is to lose your best friend as a pet. We had a cat that was 21 years old in 2018. Her body was shutting down. She was our first cat as a married couple. Her name was precious. Then we lost our other cat Calli in 2020 and not sure what happened with her but she died at home Labor Day weekend and then we had to put down her sister princess 7 months later. She had a blood clot and it traveled to her legs. Calli was 13 and her sister was 10. Same mom but 3 years apart Calli and princess was. You and your husband will be in my prayers.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your sweet Finn! 😢 Finn looks so much like one of my little dogs, Theodore. Theodore doesn’t leave my side. He is the most loyal dog I have ever had . We are so close and the thought of loosing him is so sad! The hardest part about having a pet is loosing them! Again I’m so sorry for the loss of Fin. I’m in tears thinking about how sad you must be. Kieran I am so sorry to hear about Finn. I thought he looked American Eskimo, and I say that because I adopted an American Eskimo dog also, back in June of 2009. The town I live in, Kennewick, WA had a puppy mill of 400 American Eskimos! Varying in ages from new puppies all the way to senior, needing euthanized. I asked my husband if we could maybe get a younger, but not puppy. A friend of mine assisted with the raid, and she mentioned to my husband that she thought we would be a good fit for 1 of the ones she had. We met him and fell in love instantly! I wanted to give him a name that went with his heritage, I chose Tekaani, it means wolf in Eskimo. He did have some issues because of the years he was in the puppy mill, but most went away the more he got comfortable with us. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer in Nov. 2016, and passed away 9 months later. My Mom was also diagnosed with cancer just days before Dave, so things were hectic and stressful right away. I would not have gotten thru awful days without Tekaani. 2 days before Dave’s 2 year anniversary of his passing, I had to put Tekaani down, it was a Monday, Dave also died on a Monday. The week before Tekaani just wasn’t himself. Brought him to the vet, left him overnight for things to be tested. They told me he had cancer, but they couldn’t treat him here, I’d have to take him to WSU which is hours away from my house. I had decided not to do that because his life started so bad with the puppy mill situation…I would just enjoy the months the vet thought we would get without treatment. I brought him home on Friday afternoon, and by Monday morning Tekaani had suffered probably 20+ seizures, which he never had 1 prior. I called the vet Monday morning and stopped his suffering a couple of hours later. My heart is with you….sending prayers and hugs.
