When I was in the USAF back in 1987, I was an alternate to go to Egypt just in case someone couldn't go. I didn't get to go to Egypt. I was disappointed.

Bummer! I bet Egypt would have been an amazing experience. But hey, at least you have some cool stories from your time in the USAF, right? Keep on living life to the fullest!

Shoulda, woulda, could have, and didn’t. It is a terrible thing and you may never get there again. I have had a few but Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania was the greatest, even had a visa.

@@GregorBrown we camped for a month, never sharpen your hand axe, this was 1988, and tell your Californian mountain friend be careful I had it sharpened. Right through his boot by the big toe. It was a great Kenyan adventure.
