Really liked the idea of the 2x4s and creating an air gap for the insulation, but would've liked to know if you ever did anything to the ceiling area and if you ever planned to make this an air conditioned space.

If you leave it like that, you've got a nice trough to run more wiring later if you need to.

Are those metal studs? What fasteners are you using for attaching plywood to them?
