Finishing the Regular Season (What's Next?) - Madden 24 Saints Franchise (Year 4) - Ep.72

Ойындар

It's Year 4 of the Madden 24 Saints Franchise. After two tough seasons forcing us into a rebuild, we're hoping to emerge as a playoff contender once again. With a new Quarterback and exciting offensive additions, could the pieces be in place for the Saints to compete for the division title?
My Franchise on Madden 24 begins with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints offer a unique challenge compared to any other team looking at their future cap space problems and aging roster. The Saints are not a bad team in 2023 at all. But their future could not be anymore problematic as cap restraints will cause them to move on from players, including some of their aging veterans they still rely on.
I aim for a more sim feel to my Franchises. I play on All Madden sliders that promote a more realistic play style. I have developed my own XP sliders to create a more authentic feel to Franchise in terms of developing young players and replacing regressing veterans.
This will be my biggest Madden 24 series, and I'm excited to get the rebuild underway.

37:52 Random niche trivia: don't ask me why I did this, but at some point or another, I compiled a list of every Super Bowl matchup/outcome in all of Cane's mainline franchises, starting with the Madden 12 Vikings. In terms of his channel's history, the Seahawks' loss to the Ravens here, their 5th all-time, elevates them to the 2nd-most Super Bowl losses of any team across all of Cane's series (tied with the Falcons + one spot behind the 1st-place, 6-loss Patriots). Don't know who, if anyone'll find that stat interesting, but hey, it's a stat! :P EDIT: Note that this does not include a sixth loss the Seahawks suffered to the Broncos during the Madden 20 finale livestream, as I opted not to include the longsim epilogues in the total (the Titans' finale skipped past several years and I felt presenting incomplete data for a relatively auxiliary part of the franchises would just muddy the waters.)

Not often. This year I don't think I made any changes after Week 1. But EA dropped 3-4 patches in that time, and after patches the game can go off in new directions. Even after seemingly meaningless 400MB patches. I have a couple fixes in mind for Year 5. It used to be that I could avoid the patches, but they made it so I can't open the Madden application without updating first.

Luke Rowe has the unique distinction of always staring at whoever is playing quarterback. When he's hurt, which is half the time, he's watching from the sidelines. When he's healthy, which is the other half, he's staring at Westbrook as he lies on the ground after being sacked by Rowe's man. Either way, he's always got eyes for his QB1.

adebo needs to go, he’s burnt toast worse that lattimore seemed to be pretrade. westbrook has really impressed even w the 4 interception day, he’s coming into his own and i’m expecting good development for him next year. the pass rush has looked well improved, our young interior guys are coming into their own. pearman TURNED IT ON to end the season, and it was nice seeing both olave and wilson make an impact. seems kendre miller isn’t as necessary to the offense as we thought with roby stepping up like he has, aside from the pass catching. skelton is a fun gadget guy, love his explosiveness. the interior of the line needs more improvement, i don’t think luke rowe is the future at guard, reminds me of jonah jackson, good but not great when available but also never available. brian breese for our offense if you will. the line is my biggest concern, offense and defense. i would like to see stoutmire (sorry if i misspelled) get another chance next season with adebo playing poorly. i’m excited cane. the team looks ready for a big turn if we can build up our weaknesses the right way.

The way I see it is the Saints had only 7 games all year where they scored 25 or more. They won 7 games. In this NFL you need to finish drives and avoid those turnovers. You can't expect to win games scoring 21 points per game. I know we had the league's worst defense but I really think that investing in the interior offensive line to give Westbrook more of a pocket to work with is a priority. These defensive tackles are getting pressure immediately. Westbrook is making almost every throw with a lineman in his face.

You need offensive line help in the worst way. Your offseason plans have to start with signing offensive linemen who are actually good enough to be starters in the league, especially on the left side of the line since you have a 73 rated left tackle and a 75 rated left guard. I would also firmly suggest signing/ drafting better DTs because as good as Redman and Medlock are, they are strictly rotational pieces to be developed more and the pass rushers are not exactly getting enough pressure on the QBs at all and if you want to win more games next seasons I urge you to get a better pass rusher because while Beard and Houston have shown signs of their ability....they have not been consistent and they have not shown me enough to be starting caliber DEs in the league as well. Your linebackers are fine, but you haven't gotten the best out of their abilities and they have yet to shine in your current defensive scheme. I would also suggest mixing some 3-4 formations in the defensive playbook next year and signing players who have the abilities to play in both defenses because if a player can't do that, then why even have them on the team?

Someone should go through and count how many Interceptions were actually Westbrook's fault this season. Yes he misses too many throws, but I feel he gets an unfair reputation.

This team won 2 more games than the previous two teams, yet is clearly worse than both of them. Discuss.

The defense has been a liability since the beginning, we need major difference makers and James Houston IV need to be flipped either for a developmental player or 4-6th round pick Wilson and Olave are good wr and roby is a solid back I think Mayweather still should’ve gotten a chance to start this season he never got to play with the weapons the offense has now all in all the defense fails us consistently game in and game out irl Tim cannon would’ve been fired by now

Man, Tommy Tomlinson is a major disappointment. He's been bad over the course of the whole year, I'd trade him while he's still young

I'm glad SOMEBODY else sees this. Their point differential went from -50 last season to -130 this season but last year's team kept giving up last minute TDs. I just can't see Westbrook suddenly becoming more accurate *and* the O-line being upgraded *and* the D-line too all in one offseason. The LBs are invisible too many times as well. But we'll see.

@@charliehofmann3524 This team scored 90 fewer points than last season though. The O-line is actually a crying need now. The skill position weapons are all in place.

Kendre Miller needs to be gone, it's like looking at a walking fumble. You might have to look into trading Mayweather in the offseason because let's see what he can do. You need a mentor at QB to help Westbrook if you intend to stay with him. Secondly, you need secondary help badly. The first game in this video is proof that making Kenny Pickens look like he's Patrick Maholmes is not good at all. If you want to succeed in the AFC, you have the right idea of OL and DL, but not an edge rusher unless it's in FA or late in the draft. A coverage linebacker to help with the athletic TE in this game. If I was Mel Kiper JR. For your team, the positions would be OL, DL, and ILB or FS would be what you need to build the team. Anything else is going to be sugarcoating what you need.
